Whoever has Problems with the new 3D view should post in here, so we can scold the staff together for using that crappy engine (and they can see all the stuff in one spot). I am not postnig this on the technical forum because it's a main issue as long as trhe feature still is in the testing phase, and because the other relevant topic is in here too (of course, these bastards only wrote in german).
You can find screenshots and the original topic here : http://illarion.org/community/forums/vi ... hp?t=26817
i experienced (and solved) the following :
- Black screen when activating 3D view
Solution : Get the latest NVIDIA drivers.
-Inventory does not open when pressing ALT+i
Solution : Hold down "alt" longer (at least five seconds) before pressing i. The engine seems to fail getting it even on newer machines.
- Only switches between fullscreen/windowed when pressing 3+d+F11
Solution :
1.update Java to the newest version.
2.update to a newer Direct3D release
3.get and install the DirectX Runtime libraries
4.Uninstall and reinstall Illarion.
(no idea if this also happens on Linux when you use OpenGL)
If that doesn't help, either your system is too weak (should be dual core and should have at least 1GB/Ram)
-really, really crappy perspective when outside of buildings
Enable "AutoFocus" in the option menu. Only works with newer graphics cards. If the option is greyed out, updating the driver may help.
