Wiki said potion making is disabled, is it true? So there's no point for this skill then?

At the moment, this skill is used for brewing if I'm not wrong.

There are rp reasons for it and some herbs have several "uses" than just one.
Not to add, that there will be a druidsystem one day.

And one can still sell them to NPCs or other players. And as Pellandria stated, some herbs/plants have uses beyond alchemy.
