I think we need a depot box in the mines under ground. that way when we can't carry anymore we can just go a few feet than all the way upstairs and back down

I don't see the connection between lost shovels and a missing depot box...
the carry limit was exactly invented to force you to walk from the mines to the depot and back and not to stand the whole day in the same place and dig for ore.

I guess if a weak character is able to carry 5 platearmors, i.e. a weak person carrying 100 kg (220 lbs), there is no need for more to carry.

right it is ur fault if ur char is toooo weak for such hard work u can still become peasant or so *g*
hehe and btw perhaps u should put ur armor in ur depot it helps a lot to carry much stuff
yes many ppl can really carry a FEW plates

but there should be a way to carry more...
cause many people can carry more than the chars in illarion...
and there should be a bar that showed how much left you can carry...
since , in real you always know how much you can carry

I was wandering in Norwegen a few years before. I had my backpacked filled to half my own weight. Believe me, I wasn't very fast with this baggage. The Illarion characters can carry about twice their own weight without slowing down. When you talk about persons that can carry more than an Illarion character, you perhaps talk about weight lifters, but they push the weight up for a few seconds and drop it. I never saw one walking the streets, shopping with 400 lbs on his arms straight up...

perhaps he meant the weaker chars played by strong players *g*
if your char has a str of 1 and u (player) are a very stong man then it could be that u can carry more than ur char
