Figures he would be :D
Sup man! How can you deal with the new Illarion? gezz lol
Has your guild died yet? heh

He was so gullible back in the day. I hide in a respawn box once, and when you talked it didnt show your name(hehe) so when he camenear I'd shoot ice bolts and say "Death awaits you"

and even though we were the only two online he fell for it :D

Yes it was me man haha, sorry but it was funny!

Classic Illarion was one of the best games at its time. Maybe current Illarion will be as good as it was one day. But it is a long way...

If you refer to the avatars, yes, the old ones were way better.

No, it still lives on ;)
I'm busy with other stuff than playing though, just playing a bit sometimes when some roleplayers are online hrhr...
The Tavern is now dwarf-owned, since the canceling of the druid system, it made no real sense to really continue to play the druid char (and anyhow, the retired dwarf king Tialdin and the meanwhile dead Xelmin (Gandela) were the two who donated most to the tavern, so it's kinda their heritage).
All in all, the game can still be fun, if you look out where and when you can RP without "disturbing" people who work or train all the time *g*

Thats what the game looked like when I started playing way back, it had a definite charm but now beats it by far IMO.

I liked it when Trolls Bane's format was different. When the shop was right by the east gate. Hedge and wall leaning was awesome rp.

As Liles always said: "Time to do some hardcore leaning." Damn I miss that guy.

Yeah, the old TB was kinda cooler. And it was cooler when you could level faster T_T

Ahh, fond memories of the old days. Back when you could block a demon for hours with two shields. And the great age of the one-hit KO.

Good times

Back then the technical system was much more loose and random, which was more fun to some. These days it isn't bad, but maybe if it had more commercial appeal more people would play?

I've been playing and going on the forums off and on for about 5 years, almost 6.

What I wouldn't give for the old system.
Offers Alexrose as a sacrifice.

The graph on the wall tells the story of it all...

This is my impression of the gameplay progress of Illarion, not adressing the community factor or the roleplay atmosphere. Important milestones:

2002: I joined :P
2003: Summer of Disaster
2004: Charwipe, switch to Lua
2005: Java Client (WOW was released!)
2006, 2007: Sophisticated fighting and crafting system

 Without the "dents" in progress and the comparison to sophisticated commercial games, Illarion would fit my exspectations. Maybe a special light will guide us to a better future...

Face it, most of net users don't want to roleplay. This is why illa will never be as successful as other games unless it gets a lot more lenient.
