[REJECTED]Race Ideas

I haven't played this game for very long but here are a few Race Ideas you might find to your liking.
Dragoon Race: This is a Half-dragon and Half-human race. When they are babies they look like humans but a fully mature Dragoon has the ability to shape-shift into full human form or full dragon form and looks like a human with dragon wings. A young but not entirely matured Dragoon always looks like a human but has dragon wings that enable flight.
Harpie Race: This is a race that are basically half-human and half-bird. They have feathers, talons, and wings that enable flight.
Centaur Race: This is basically a half-horse and half-human race. they have the upper body of a human and the lower body of a horse. (Everybody should know what a centaur is)
Please comment or criticize my ideas, just remember I haven't played more then a couple hours

Well, while certain friends of mine would love the centaurs, in Illarion, half breeds are generally impossible (unless you count those hobbits). The only regularly seen half breed is half elves, which generally just pick a race to be.

I think that the different races would indeed be wonderful. I, personally, would be the first to apply for a centaur character. XD
BUT...
Even if you had to -apply- for races like that, I have a feeling that the possibilities of these races would be... Abused. Honestly, a half-dragon character or a half-bird character seems a bit.. Too much.
Also... The graphics would take much work, and considering it takes long enough just to make -one- race... I'm pretty sure I know the answers of the GMs and Devs..
So.. Though I would love to have centaurs at least, I'd have to say my thoughts on the proposal is a no-go.. >_>

i don't see why you think it would be abused, but I guess it would be hard to make.
PS: I post an Idea and after 5 minutes of waiting I get 2 replies but when I ask for help because the game won't work I have ZERO AFTER A HALF HOUR

even if these were possible you would defiantly need an essay to become one and i bet most people would chose the dragon one also because these involve *powerful* mythical monsters it would make the fairy, gnome and goblin population even smaller because everyone would want to write an essay about how they want to be the 3 above

I wonder how the dragoon race came into being eh... #me pokes the dragon with his spear...
Otherwise, I don't see them as being very playable, but they'd make nice creatures

A half dragon - half human race would be...
#me runs to the first person he meets
someone: greetings
#me roars and his eyes start to glow in a deep red
noobish.
But I'd love if gnolls become playable as a special race <3 We allready have the graphics for them, so it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Translation:
Even if these were possible; we'd definitely have to put them as a special race, which you have to apply for with an essay, and I bet people would tend to choose the dragoons, since they're.. well.. half dragon.. The three special races are already low in player count, and this would only help lower the amounts of them.
On another note: We do not have the graphics for these. If you want them, go make them. The very name "Dragoon" rips off a copyright. En plus, I'm sure Damien would go on a rampage if the offspring of a human and a DRAGON existed. How is a ridiculously large reptile that's proud and doesn't want to mess in the affairs of such an inferior race as "humans" even physically going to reproduce with a human. Makes no sense. And wtf, transform into a dragon. THAT wouldn't be overpowered /sarc. The only person who can pull off a dragon turning to a human or a human turning into a dragon is Esty

.
Ooh I have an idea, why don't we make a new race called "Burninator" which look like small dragons with one "beefy arm" "coming out of its neck".
@Taeryon: WOO GNOLLS!

I get what you are saying. I was just looking for Mythical creatures and it came up.

Actually dragoon is a military term for someone who'd get off his horse, hide in the side of the battlefield and snipe people...
No copyright there...

Erm... this idea is.... we don't need it.
And it doesn't fit in the background story.

Rejected.
Reason:
Not even all current are really played. Fairies, Gnomes and Goblins are nearly unplayed. Same with lizards and orcs.
Beside of this that races do not really fit into Illarion.
