Portal books broken

The portal books i bought today are not working. Starling had this problem too. The gates dont show up.

It could be just bad luck, portals open over everything, walls, Water, trees or does this cracking sound not even come?

I keep my computer muted because it annoys me, so no help there. But like Konrad said, no blue portal.

Did you get a message like "All around you ground and items are trembling"? What was the destination of the book?
I just checked and in general, the books work. The good old bug that portals may appear on water persists, though.
