Why is it that for lizards and faeries there is one picture?

For every other race there are two possible pictures, so why aren't there pictures for female/male lizards and male faeries ('cause I'm pretty sure the picture is for a female faery)?

(But there are two bumps on the front of the lizard! Like they're almost... but not quite... >_<)

Well... male fish are usually more colourful, with bigger fins to impress the ladies, and this colour distinction also happens among amphibious creatures such as frogs...
I thought maybe a male lizard would have a bigger, more colourful crest and/or tail or something like that...

And concerning faeries... the picture has butterfly like wings, but the race description says that male faeries usually have "grassy or transparent" wings... which would be an easy enough distinction unless you were colour-blind...

Edit: plus the faerie picture has a chest... that males of most races don't have... ^_^'

If you wanna do the graphic design fine, but it's not a necessary addition so there's no point getting Martin to make more graphics. You shouldn't be able to tell the difference between male/female lizards anyway, and the fairies were planned to be female only.

There are male fairies, and have been female lizards. Most tend to avoid them somewhat due to the graphic limitations however. It is rare to see a female lizard... I have seen only two. Also only two male fairies.

I say add another faery and Lizard Graphic. After all, even if we can't tell them apart, I'm sure they can tell each other apart. Otherwise there'd be a lot more homosexuality IG then there is!

You make the graphic then if you want it so much. I'm pretty sure most people aren't bothered.

How hard can it be? A pixel here and a pixel there.......some lizards may need more pixels than others, but it seems simple enough.

You know that each avatar takes up to 16 graphics, a bit of changing in one avatar is not enough.

EdiT2: If someone lets me have the girl faerie's graphics I'll make them into a boy faerie for the staff to review. ^_^

As some may remember - well that reqires to have been in illa quite early - we also started with only-female elf graphics and only-male dwarf and human and halfer graphics and the rest came later if it was found to be necessary (or someone had enough free time and nothing else to do to make good and matching graphics for the other gender). So that's what we have with the fairies. Perhaps, somewhen, someone may make a graphic for it. There are very few played fairies anyhow so

That kind of goes out the window as Lizards smell of fish anyway.

If I had the template for the fairy, it won't be quick, but would be happy to try. I assume it is in png format, and using the fairy template as is, would make one for the male... IMO they would more likely correspond as far as wing/size of fairy and wing/movement.

@Alex : Not for other lizards ! They also differ between the smell "fishy and salty" and "salty and fishy", and they also smell "rrrawr" or "not rrrawr".

@kalia : The avvies are made with 3d stuff, and have to meet some requirements they might use for graphical stuff later. Very few people play fairies anyhow, and very few even request for the race, so it's not important.

Yeah, but I bet Fooser is an exception, since he is male and smells of Rawwwr!

.. No, neither lizards have breasts. Why would they? They are lizards...

Lizards don't have breasts. Their young have no need for milk. The young can eat meat as soon as they are hatched. Lizards are just like reptiles in real life. You have no way of knowing the gender unless you are a lizard or you physically check. And I don't think many want to physically check...
