does anyone know how to start a guild?

Yes:

New guilds:

• You need at least four chars from different accounts to start a new guild.
• Before starting a new guild topic, you have to ask the moderator via PM and he will check if there is the minimum of four different accounts behind the guild.
• New topics without the permission of the moderator will be deleted without further notice.

But you should have posted this in the Newbie-Section, I think....

Actually once I wanted to start a guild, asked the Mod, but I was told that the Mods check a guild's right to exist afterwards... But a PM doesn't hurt I think.

Hello!

I suggest that you play this game a little bit and participate in an existing guild before founding one yourself. It is not the founding of a guild that is difficult but running it and keeping it alive is. Take a look at the "Gilden/Guilds"-board and you will see how many guilds were founded in the past but only a couple are active to this day.
