A winged creature in Tol Vanima

((please PM me first if you want to post something or if you want to comment. Any elf who was in the haven on nov 10 to 12 is welcome to add their reactions. Oh, and excuse my english if it has some mistakes, not my native language.))
At night, the sky above the woods east of the elven haven suddenly darkened with magical clouds. Then, suddenly, two loud sounds were heard successively.
The first, was a loud explosion-like sound, one that would wake you up if you were any kind of light sleeper. The sound was accompanied by a bright flash of light that was seen like the flash of a bolt of lightning on the horizon. This woke many animals and the peaceful area around the elven haven made those animals jump and run for their lives even though nothing threatened them. Some flock of birds were seen moving away from where the sound originated, while flocks of bats were disoriented and flew chaotically in the air.
The second was a reversed zapping-like sound that followed a second or two after the first sound, as if it was the resolution of the first sound. This would convince anyone in the region that was awaken by the first sound that something happened deep inside the woods. The clouds then retracted to their point of origin before disappearing, like being sucked up by some powerful force, and disappeared abruptly just like they appeared.
One is to wonder what could have caused such an event in such a peaceful place. Afterwards, the animals were unnerved by the smell of burned wood, leafs and grass but no fire broke out outside the area that the sounds originated from.
