Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to plant trees and how to do it.

You put a fruit of the tree on the ground and splash many buckets of water on it..

You need farming or peasantry skill to plant trees, I believe.
Old-worn-out-phrase:
Find out in game!

farming helps but is not a must.

I think "found out ingame" sometimes is a bad hint for players who wanna play in this case expierienced tree-planters - I mean a char coming from mainland doesn't loose its knowledge about things he used to do before arriving the island, does it? ... I think a "how to - guide" would help and there wouldn't be that many newbie-questions around

going off this planting trees thing, can it be made possible for PCs to plant Elden Oaks? Not sure about the graphic issue but I know there is a Elden Oak sapling graphic.....dont know about a seed though.....could red elder be made into a seed that produces Eldan Oaks?

I wouldn't like the idea that chars can plant them. They are somehow special.

somehow special?
P1: I am forester, may I help in this village to forest your wood up?
P2: Oh i am very happy blabla
... 5 minutes later
P1: Oh my tree-planting-technique i used at the mainland doesn't work at this special island, do i need magic?
or what?

Hint to players who want to start characters experienced in anything skill wise - Don't. Wow that really avoids all that hassle doesn't it? You can start with a fresh char and develope him/her, like, character developement or something.

ye of course ... i don't talk about overskilled chars ... but if we do like you think, all new players have the only chance to play unexperienced 14 agers ... ?
again example:
char comes from mainland ... 30 years ... worked as smith ... the PO needs the IG-Information how to smith to be able to rp his char well ... doesn't he/she?
