Constantly Changing Qualities?

I have several items in on my character, and today as I looked at them I realize the qualities of them periodically change from bad to worse or from good to better. It's really wierd, but I havn't seen any drastic changes. I just see thigns like awful armor that turns into "very bad" or a "really bad, rotten" bow that goes to "bad, old" bow.

Hmm.. Is this a stupid question? (I didn't look for previous posts.)

Well I think items quality reduces over time.. Like in real life..

Alright, I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think the item quality may change depending on the character's perspective. A more experienced smith, for example, will see an item differently than a less experienced one. The same item may seem to change in quality when, in fact, the character has just learned to see things differently. If you show the same item to other characters, they will likely see it differently.

Wow. Interesting add-on. It's been a while since I played.

So for one person it's supposed to change alot? I can have one item in my inventory that (to me) continually changes quality. This is normal, then?

I guess if your smithing and perception skill is good, you can see the true quality of an item better than if you have no smithing skill or not all that good perception..

I've got powerful perception, but neither good smithing nor tailoring so it makes sense. The only thing that stays generally the same is carpentry products, and I'm pursuing carpentry. Cool. I like that change, now!

Yes, but also if you have a mirror equipped it shows the real quality.

Well, doesn't the mirror quality affect how close to "real" the quality you see is?

For instance, using a really bad mirror might.. show worst than your eye sight :P

I'd like a dev to answer that one please.
