A man walks in from the east of Trolls Bane... from the mountains he walk west. He walks down toward the arena just outside the small sleeping town... lit up from the starts standing by a tree is but another person. The man approaches him, to find out he is missing part of a limb... as well as his life, for the creature was undead. Startled, he jumps back from the moaning humanoid. he reaches down for his sword to find it is not there. the undead creature swings its arms wildly at the unarmed man, clipping his tunic- a near miss. as the man dodges the attack his face is shown in the moonlight. a young man, anywhere in his twenties he looks to be. but the face is recognizable by some...
The man known as Baurus throws a quick punch at the creature, knocking it backwards a step. as the "zombie" is stunned, he makes a run for it. in a slow sprint toward the silent town in the distance. as he cross the stream another zombie wanders toward him. avoiding this one as well, Baurus rushes toward the gate of the town, slows to a stop, and proceeds to open and go inside, shutting the monster outside.
Baurus lets out a small chuckle as well as mumbles something to himself, which is followed by more laughter. he proceeds out of the guard tower and into the town... it is not as he remembered, almost as if the buildings had been reconfigured, But he could not say for sure. Although one place he did know where to go. The tavern. Baurus headed down the road to the bar and continued in.. he sat down at one of the tables and leaned back in his chair... it was indeed an unexpected return, and he was glad it had come.
