The Parchment of Resistance!

Listen, Troll's Bane!
The recently installed regime under the new "Governor" Silas Farron has no legitimation to rule the city of Troll's Bane!
Citizens, you don't have to follow them - it is rather your civic duty to stand
against them!
An armed attack on Troll's Bane was lead by William Elderberry's "Caelum", a settlement on northern Briar which is acknowledged by nobody! Almost all people who spoke up inappropriately against our city and Governor Siltaris' government in the last days are citizens there,
not citizens of Troll's Bane.
So they have absolutely no right attacking our city and removing our valid government!
They claimed that Governor Siltaris and her governing body was corrupt and not good for our city. Besides that these accusations are ridiculous, why do they bother at all as non-citizens of Troll's Bane?!
The Constitutional Law of Troll's Bane clearly gives the
citizens of our city the right to introduce a motion of non-confidence. Did this happen? No, because most citizens obviously were and still are satisfied with our government under Governor Siltaris.
In other words, the armed attack on Troll's Bane by Caelum forces was simply an hostile action by a foreign group, an unilateral war. They only wanted to conquer our town for
their own good.
The Caelum bunch broke several town laws (civil disorder, endangerment of peace) a few days ago by trying to
extort the city to release the regular imprisoner Edward Cromwell.
Because some of them officially got
punished for their crimes, they fought Governor Siltaris a few hours before the town attack; now she is missing and maybe killed by these ruthless people.
And finally, they choose to revolt openly against our government by attacking the city.
It has to be said that the Caelum people at least
announced their upcoming attack on Troll's Bane, although they only give three hours to bring citizens into safety. Caelum also stated that they won't attack neutral and non-fighting persons or establishments which was, as far as we know, correct.
But while giving these announcements, they arrogantly behave as already new leaders of our city! Everybody can read in their town board notices that they act only for
selfish goals.
And furthermore, they ally with other criminals and even unholy
undeads - a skeleton was among their ranks - to beat Troll's Bane's brave and righteous defenders! Is this "fight with honour" William Elderberry was talking about?!
Citizens, allies and friends of Troll's Bane, you see that the current regime which overtook our city by force is an enemy - don't believe their words or Silas Farron's declarations. Resist!
We may lost one battle, but we are still undefeated...
Troll's Bane will be free again!

Me, Edward, and Brer weren't from Caelum. Edward was jailed for no reason, and the others were banned (for the rest of our lives actually) for saying "hey that's not very nice", and they didn't seem to like that. How about you answer for that corruption as well?

Edward was not jailled for no reason. He was jailed because of a lie spawned by the ex-guard Evan Ross who helped in the rebelion. Siltaris did no wrong in this. Instead it was a tratior to Bane. Who is to say he will not betray this new goverment?

You still haven't told us your proposal on your first act of attack, that was a great parchment indeed but we need something to get us started, no?

I shall
The previous town guard of Trollsbane was infiltrated by a corrupt guard by the name of Evan Ross. This foul man led Siltaris and I to believe false information that led to part of the Jailing of Edward Cromwell. Edward was Jailed due to disrespect of authority which we all know that he obviously did. Normally a person would not be jailed for this though the allegations that were given to us by Ross suggested that Edward and his friends were working with previous cult members to bring back the dead temple, so we decide to hold and question him on this. After learning of Evans corruption and Edward being innocent we decided to release him after he had served his time for Disrespect of authority. This is the reasoning behind Edwards jailing. Fooser, Dominic, William, and Brer were banned not for saying something but for locking themselves in a library and placing flames upon it, not to mention attempting to rally others to burn me at a stake. I shall mention that the Guard Evan Ross is now permitted in the town of Trollsbane by Silas. I should also say that in two days Edward was to be released and he would have received an explanation about the questions we asked him. Due to the flames at the library we had no choice but to turn over Edward before he received an explanation, it is this lack of knowledge that caused him and his acquaintances to rally Caleum and sell out the souls to the dark forces of the isle to have there way in capturing Trollsbane.

I don't perform magic, and did not tell anyone to burn you. Also one might wonder why you didn't look into this further. If someone came and said "Taliss is a member of the cult, he wants to eventually summon a demon in Eliza's shop" wouldn't the person listening stop and say "Hm, that sounds bizarre, I'll need to look into this more" or just jail the person right on the spot? If a lie is a lie, it will be found out through minor observation.

It was Dominic that began the notion to burn me, you can ask him this yourself. As for the later question, Even was a trusted guard at the time and if Edward was already breaking the law by disrespect of Authority what is the harm in asking him questions while he was jailed?

Because it isn't something really worth jailing. Under the strict law that came before on disrespecting authority, we're all guilty even myself of doing it to the new leader, but he isn't banning people for life, I think that's a step in the right direction. One can't draw the line from saying something about the governor or guards on the wall, to being in an evil cult.

As for an attack, we can boycott Trolls Bane. No buying or selling with the traders in Bane, so there won't be a tax income for the new government. Maybe after a while the traders will decide to move to other town and start their business there.
The note is posted quickly on the board and left unsigned.

Juliana, borrowing pen and parchment from a passerby, quickly writes a note nailing it to the board with a poison dagger. Pulling the hood of her cloak up over her head, she hands the pen back to the man and walks away.
So a man was jailed due to suspicion of wrong doing?
The word "suspicion" is marked so heavily in the parchment there is a slight tear at the end

Do as you wish.
An armed attack on Troll's Bane was lead by William Elderberry's "Caelum", a settlement on northern Briar which is acknowledged by nobody!
It seemed pretty acknowledged when we were granted our land and then when we later told people they could not trespass.
Almost all people who spoke up inappropriately against our city and Governor Siltaris' government in the last days are citizens there, not citizens of Troll's Bane.
I did not write on the elections board, personally. I don't recall Caelum people doing so either, though I may be wrong.
So they have absolutely no right attacking our city and removing our valid government!
If you say so.
They claimed that Governor Siltaris and her governing body was corrupt and not good for our city. Besides that these accusations are ridiculous, why do they bother at all as non-citizens of Troll's Bane?!
This was not the reason I personally went to war.
The Constitutional Law of Troll's Bane clearly gives the citizens of our city the right to introduce a motion of non-confidence. Did this happen? No, because most citizens obviously were and still are satisfied with our government under Governor Siltaris.
It is fine by me if you wish to have a governor who does nothing.
In other words, the armed attack on Troll's Bane by Caelum forces was simply an hostile action by a foreign group, an unilateral war. They only wanted to conquer our town for their own good.
Care to explain to me how Caelum benefited from this.
The Caelum bunch broke several town laws (civil disorder, endangerment of peace) a few days ago by trying to extort the city to release the regular imprisoner Edward Cromwell.
We shouted and summoned a few illusions.
Because some of them officially got punished for their crimes,
Which your governess actually swore on the name of the gods that she would not do if we left, and actually tried to capture us.
they fought Governor Siltaris a few hours before the town attack; now she is missing and maybe killed by these ruthless people.
And finally, they choose to revolt openly against our government by attacking the city.
"They" did, did they? Myself, Fooser and Brer did not attack Siltaris. It was different people, 3 of which were not in Caelum. At this point I was told by many that we must war that day, so we gave as much time as we could allow. We starting planning the same time as you.
It has to be said that the Caelum people at least
announced their upcoming attack on Troll's Bane, although they only give three hours to bring citizens into safety.
3 hours is enough time to make people walk into buildings or out of town. And WE had 3 hours to plan too.
Caelum also stated that they won't attack neutral and non-fighting persons or establishments which was, as far as we know, correct.
This is correct.
But while giving these announcements, they arrogantly behave as already new leaders of our city! Everybody can read in their town board notices that they act only for
selfish goals.
I like how you sterotype the whole of Caelum into the views of one of our citizens.
And furthermore, they ally with other criminals and even unholy undeads - a skeleton was among their ranks
The skeleton and the temple were not MY forces, they joined because they had the same goal in mind.
- to beat Troll's Bane's brave and righteous defenders! Is this "fight with honour" William Elderberry was talking about?!
Accepting help can be honourous. We did not kill the innocent, and I don't see what else you can have called dishonourous. If people want to fight them that are capable, we would hardly shun them. I'm sure you wouldn't have objected if they came to defend you.
Citizens, allies and friends of Troll's Bane, you see that the current regime which overtook our city by force is an enemy - don't believe their words or Silas Farron's declarations. Resist!
You shall see if Farron's words are true. This is out of my hands.
We may lost one battle, but we are still undefeated...
Troll's Bane will be free again!
You are "free", you can do whatever you like.
(I prefer to stay anonymous for the moment)
A nice example of honour.

I have a question for you Will. Wasn't Deuce banned for attacking a citizen on Caelum land before? And he had 8 silver fine? You still allowed him to join, a known bandit. Jssh..

He was, yes, but he is powerful. Would you refuse the help of the powerful in a war? He even apologized.

You mean the conversation that went a bit like this:
"William.."
"Yes?"
"I apologize for my previous actions with Caelum."
"Do not worry about the past. I count your aid as penance."
This was the apology I spoke of.

Perhaps it is now that William shall explain what his intentions were. If it was to cause havoc then you have done well. However, I doubt that Caelum will get nothing from this as Silas is your magic teacher and a citizen of your miniscule town. Care to explain how Caelum will not benefit from this?

I would refuse the help of bandit trash. That's all he is, a scummy piece of dirt that doesn't deserve to breath or be on the winning side of anything. Just like any other bandit out there, who pick on people that are weaker then them who work damn hard for the money and valuables that they have. The only thing is that you didn't forgive him before the war, but when you needed members.

Actually, here is a copy of a letter I received from Silas.
Dear William,
I thought about this for a wihle, and it is the right thing to do. Please let me quit caelum, so i can join Troll's Bane - I do not want to decieve my own laws.
I shall, however, still stay an ally to your settlement.
-Silas Farron
You think we invaded to gain the alliance of someone already with us?
And he's my mage teacher anyway, how will it help that he is the head of Troll's Bane?!
It's a crime to refuse help now? You think I am stupid enough to refuse help from a strong person? And you also realise he was going to fight with us anyway, even if I did refuse. It would be better if we do not have tension between the people aiding us in battle, as did happen. Dain repeatedly reminded me he was not my ally, and there was even a fight between two people before this.
