Identities are unimportant. This game needs some spice. I've seen numerous attempts at playing a bad guy and numerous failings. There has to be a a character out there who is capable of lasting more than two weeks on the bad guy throne.

Well... when Lonor and Daradur were on the 'bad guy throne' everyone was complaining about too many thiefs...

Hm.. fighting the skeletons?
But.. there are some bad guys around I think.. and the best is nobody knows who it is

That is the funny thing about "good" bad guys.
And Lonor had not the best RP and did always do the same boring robbing..

They were to many thiefs indeed. Really.
And the sad thing was, 70% of the thiefs were played by extrem noobs.

As far as I can speak for TB I think that the official institutions are busy enough with the accusals currently going on.
Before anyone is thinking about making a bandit, I sincerely suggest to think about who you want to play against.
Making a small bandit is easy.
Keeping guards active is hard work.
Please consider this.
And maybe you will come to the conclusion that you wanna support any town guard?
Conflicts do not always have to be between bad guys and good guys, but can be between towns and guilds as well....
And a last hint: Making one-day bandits who are just created for one-day fun is unfair to the POs of guards. Keep in mind that you force guards to interact with small bandits when you play them.
So far and thanks for considering,
PO Sil

Really.. and I made a post for that in German.. because, I know the player of a guard.. and.. it seemed to be no fun at all, to play a guard, because the robbers came when they wanted to, without tlling the PO's of the guards.. what is incorrect Rp. And know there are no robbers left.. hmm.. maybe the PO's were bad loosers because they only wanted to rob when surely no guard was around?

It gets boring playing a bad guy all the time when there is no real opposition. I mean Richard was never once put in jail and he has robbed so many people. He has almost been caught but then it proves that the person checked their logs and found out there was no way he could be identified. I used to even rob people during the day time...still to no avail. Whenever a thief is made all that happens is someone says, "Oh, I was robbed. Be on the lookout for a thief." Thats it. I say the Temple was the best evil organization ever and nothing will ever compare to it. It was so good that everyone cried OOC for it to be disbanded so the staff finally killed it. How disappointing.

None of my chars fought the temple directly, but even if your char was just a normal druid, farmer, lumberjack or what ever, you always heard someone talking about the temple and its evil stuff. The temple gaves Illarion a really good atmosphere. Bring it back. Damnit

Exactly. Most people play thieves and bandits now because they like that kind of roleplay, but in fact, bandits and thieves were bandits and thieves because it brought in more, easier money. On Illarion that's impossible, because when you thief or mug someone, they won't roleplay giving all their money. (Even if they should.) They will even claim OOC that all they have is 2 silvers, when in fact they have 30 silvers but don't wanna lost it.
A person who gained my respect (but lost it quickly) with such matters is PO Jorokar, when he gave the Seer 250 silvers for liberating Ayla. I was impressed he did that.. But not everyone cares for roleplay more than silver, so it's hard being a good criminal.

We never lost it. It was taken from the temple members and they(we) were lied to OOC about when/if it comes back. It was lost in no In Character reason what so ever. A lot of those PO's of Bad guys decided to say nothing and just play other characters or just stop playing for a period of time.

I say we need a Temple like organization again. It does not have to be The One and Only Temple but it can still have the same base of operations. The Temple building itself is still there. Anyone with a Temple Blackstone from the old days of the Temple can go there. The only problem is that Lennier collapsed it so you can not walk around it. This time though even good characters should be able to enter it. It can just be a town for people who do wrong. Though if "good" people were caught there they might not make it out alive... Thats all I am saying a place for evil doers to live. The entrance is still in Hellbriar last I knew.

Except we stole people's souls and ruled the land with an iron fist holding everyone in terror and making them quiver with fear when our names were mentioned. And when we walked through a town you would not believe how fast the people ran. Plus, there was incredible RP. Everyone in the Temple worked together. We took on a demon one time. I might still have the screenshots from it. We conquered all!

Also I might add the history of the temple...
Blackstone Cult- East of Varshikar then south of the graveyard. Created by drows in order to serve their mistress. It had rankings and taught the ways of the blade and magic. Retlak was turned into an undead during this time. Aokan gained some power in the temple during this time. That power was taken by Nalzaxx.
The Temple- The original cult was taken over by Nalzaxx and it's location was changed to the current location shortly after. Blackstones were then placed into the temple members at this point. The temple had a plot with Drahken for a time. This temple was designed to be a town of "evil" characters. More or less. Nalzaxx left from the game a while and the temple was taken over by other players.
Avalyon, who was Nalzaxx apprentice took over the temple. The temple once again gained some power and had just gotten up as a town while in the charge of Avalyon. During the time of the temple Nalzaxx came back to complete a quest that had to do with an in game disease. He came back to the temple and helped it gain a bit more strength The temple was then attacked shortly(24 hours) of loosing Nalzaxx due to a RP ban. The temple members would not allow the small army that attacked into the temple for in game and OOC reasons. Then the temple was closed with promises to bring it back that were never met.
Much more happened, but that is a decent idea of what happened.

To put plainly I say the temple truly was fun for a while then when it had served its purpose and most of the players became tired of it they "as in the players" removed it. Some of the temple members didnt want it to go but the larger amount of players got there way and it did.

You mean the same 250 silver the arena was bought with then that Jorokar got co-owner of?

No, it isn't that it was taken away. It is that it was taken away with no rp excuse and the players of the temple were lied to.
