Raw stone & miners guild

Well, I'm not a newbie anymore, but I'm confused because I haven't tried to use the crafting system for quite a while.
a) what is raw stone used for?
b) When you try and mine from the coal rocks in the miners' guild, it says "There is nothing to hit." Why?

a) you can try throwing it at anyones head. ( in other words: no use currently. Throw it away
)
b) maybe there is no mine anymore?

The other rocks work fine, just not the coal ones.

*shrugs* I never mine, ask Nathan. Unfortunately he's gone to eat, he'll be back in a bit though

mm... no more coal in miners guild for quite long. Lennier can tell the reason since i forgot...

The Copper Mountains have no coal in general. Point and end of discussion. It was ready debated with the Miner Guild. When there was coal in the past, it was a bug or a limitation of possibilities in the scripts. We have other mines for coal.
