What happened to the music we used to have? We used to actually have GOOD music for this game. We had

Outside music
Dungeon music
Tavern Music
Shop music
Battle Music

And they were all good songs, and i can not remember what the reason was for removing them.

So why not bring them back?

Agreed.

Also it'd be cool if certain enemies got a certain battle theme.

e.g. Retro theme goes to weak enemies like pigs, flies, etc. and other humans and New battle theme goes to harder enemies like skeletons >_> . When it's in the graveyard, I think the newer theme is appropriate, but when you're fighting pigs it just doesn't tick my box.

In fact, Manuel already made tonnes of midi for it, and posted them on the forum >_>

Varshikar Nights and that. If you haven't pissed him off too much he might let it be used, after all, it's a credit to him.

I can't say what the real reason for the removing of the music was. But i think it had something to do with expanding the map. There were those things like music fields binded directly on the map. These music fields controlled the music in any way. But how exactly that worked, and why it does not work now, i can't say :(

The old music from outside, dungeon, taverne and shop is not any longer in the client. There are some other unused titles but they sound well... better unused ;)

Wasn't there a problem with this little symbol? -> © ?
I also recall that Markous created wonderful music for Illa, but I guess this won't be used for obvious reasons.

So... record some music for Illa! I am sure Nop can name the requirements.

Requirements are easy.
  • MIDI
  • length unimportaint ( but shouldn't be useless. A title that goes 42 hours will hardly be played completly ;) )
  • should be loopable
