((Open RP, join in those who wish)).
A plank lowers from the ship and smashes to the dock with a thud.
"Ahoy! All those who wish ta stop, do so know. We leave in an hour for the open seas again."
A man, no taller than 6'2" steps onto the plank, his leather boots and staff clanking on the wood. The staff leads up to his waist, joining with his braided black hair atop his pale, thin face. He smiles as the sun beams down on him.
"This must be the place."
In one hand, he holds his staff and in the other, a scroll of parchment. He stops in front of the plank and unravels the paper, examining its contents.
"Oi! Sir, if ya gurna stop and read, do it somewhere else.", demanded the boat hand.
A bit embarrased, Earland steps off and makes his way to a road. He ravels up the paper and looks around. After following a few roadsigns, he makes his way into Trollsbane and settles in the tavern for a moment.

Ashayen made her way through the town, it was obvious where she was heading to... the tavern, that place she's mostly seen. As she stepped in, she immediately closed the door behind her as quietly as possible.
Her grey-blue eyes start to travel about as she turned around, facing the room of the tavern. Her gaze stopped at the man who was sitting there and she slowly raised a brow, revealing a somewhat smug smile.
"Good day, Sir!" were the only words which came over her lips as she offered the man a polite nod.
With a tiltened head and the eyes still fixed on the man she walked closer to borgate, sliding on one of the stools at the counter, before she faced borgate with a light grin upon her pale face.

Earland looked over to the woman and nodded.
"Greetings Ma'am", he spoke as he stood up and approached her.
"May I sit here?", motioning to an empty stool near her.

Ashayen turned the head a little, following the movement of his hand with her eyes. She pursed her lips and let out a dull "Mhm.." whilst she nodded slowly into his direction.
Otherwise she remained silent, waiting for him to sit down.

Earland takes a seat slowly and looks to her.
"Hello Ma'am, I'm Earland Fahlbach. Who might you be?"
Earland smiles to her and holds out his slender hand.

She let her gaze sink to his hand before she reached with her delicate fingers for it...shaking it briefly and with an amused smile upon her face.
"A pleasure Earland. I'm.. Ashayen." She looks over his face slowly as she speaks to him with a smooth voice and tilts the head to the other side then. "It seems we have a very new face on the isle. I've never seen it before..so where were you hiding?" She keeps smiling as she waits for his answer.

Looks around and then back to Ashayen.
"A pleasure to meet you, Ashayen."
He pauses for a moment.
"I'm new, yes. I've been here before, when I was a young child. No taller than my knee. I've left since then and well...recently returned. So, how about you? How long have you been here?"

Ashayen shrugs the slender shoulders, slowly bringing the gaze from him...facing the window right across from her.
"I'm not quite sure, but i think it's over one year now since i've been here. So you've said you were here as a child. You had homesick then?"
She smiles amused at her question, even an undertone of mockery in her voice is hearable.

"Homesick? A bit, I suppose. Not sure exactly why I've headed back up here, my father's been dead for quite some time now. Left a while ago, but I hadn't seen him die, left before that. I think my mother knew what would happen to him."
He answers sincerely, almost unaware.

Ashayen furrows the brows as he starts speaking, listening to his words, attentively.. till he gets quiet. She looks at him from the corner of her eye, unsure. "Mh, that is.. tragic. So i assume he.. died in a war, hm? And your mother? Is she here as well now?"

"I have not seen her in a long while, I assume she'd still be here. I could be wrong, but I suppose I will find out sooner or later."

Ashayen nods slowly at his words and begins to smile in a broken manner as a long lost thought began to gleam in her mind. She clears her throat then. "Yes, you will, for sure and until you've found out...what is it what you'll do here on gobaith?"

Earland readjusts his position on the stool and blinks before speaking once again.
"I'm not quite sure yet, just live I suppose. What do you do?"

Ashayen turned the head to look at him, revealing a light grin and a raised brow.
"Just live, eh? I think i already start liking you since that is it what i do as well...besides of doing some odd jobs."

Nods slightly at her answer and waits a moment, looking at the table, before responding.
"Do not many people just live here?"
Earland places a hand on the table and listens.

She blinks at his question and waves a hand in a calm manner, saying under a long sigh..
"A lot of fo-...i mean a lot of people live here, yes. Though the town seems to become more empty with every day.."

"I see, I've noticed that too. I was starting to think I'd see the ghost of my father before I saw a another face."
Nods and smiles to her.

Ashayen smiles in return and lifts an eyebrow, still looking to him.
"Mhm, i see. Well, if you feel like looking around then do so. I'm quite sure that you will have some more luck in the other towns of that isle..i mean when you feel the urge to meet more people."
She shrugs the slender shoulders then, glancing about the room before looking back to him.

"Other towns? Is there some sort of stigma associated with Trollsbane?"
Looks around as well, for a moment, then back to her.
"I don't remember much from when I was here, but I'm sure that this town was the center of attention."

Ashayen grins lightly at his words..
"Oh, well it seems you've missed a lot. But yes, i think trolls bane isn't the center of gobaith anymore. Though, it seems new faces can be found here first." She smiles a little "All in all you can choose between..mh..i think 4 other towns."

He sighs slightly as he looks down and then brings his eyes back to her.
"4 towns? Things have changed a lot. I remember Northerot and the beginning of a town being built, halflings. I think it was finished before I left, I've never traveled there though, only heard of it."
Looks around, pondering. He looks back to her, his eyes filled with a question.
"Is Sir Grant Herion still around?"

"Mh.."
She blinks several times and purses the lips, slowly looking back to the window across from her.
"Grant..no, i'm sorry. I haven't seen him since a while.. so i can't tell you."

"That's a shame"
Earland scratches his forehead and places his hand back on the table.
"I remember my father talking to him many times."

by Achae Eanstray
Taking a round about way to hunt for herbs, Achae walks by the tavern on her way to Eliza's but abruptly stops on hearing a name and turning, she walks in the door. Smiling warmly at Ashayen in greeting, she looks at the man curiously with head tilted slightly "Hello, my name is Achae". While taking a step closer, her hazel eyes appearing slightly green with the grass showing through the open door and a voice excitedly showing her curiousity as she continues to speak "did I hear you say Grant Herion? I didn't know him but I have read some things of his history" as she gets closer to him looking up into his eyes and smiling at him "I am curious who your father was"

Earland looks up to Achae and nods.
"Greetings Achae." He hesitates momentarily and opens his mouth.
"My father was...Erik Fahlbach, I'm not sure if you've heard of him.
He brushes his nose with a few fingers and looks to her again.

Ashayens gaze switches immediately to Achea as she enters the room. A light nod into her direction is the only movement that Ashayen shows when she offers her at the same time a small smile. As Earland begins to speak again, her eyes fall back at him with a light wrinkled forehead. Ashayen glances to Achea, examining her facial features to make out if she has heard the name of Earlands father before, because she hasn't and therefor she shows her helplessness with a shaking head, saying "Well, that name is completely new to me. Never heard it before." She hesitates while rubbing the delicate hands lightly against each other, keeping the gaze fixed on Earland.
"But.. now i'm more curious to know what that all has to do with.. Grant."

Earland brushes his nose again and looks around.
"My father knew him, during the war and before. I've met him a few times as a child, met him and his friends."

Ashayen blinks at his answer and tightens the lips together, seemingly thinking about his spoken words. Her gaze falls back to Achae, maybe waiting if she would like to add something. Though she lets out some words, glancing to him before she fixes Achae again.
"So, and now..it seems you wish to meet this man, eh? Sadly i can't help you with that.."

Earland looks around and nods a bit.
"Meet? Well, I was just curious as to what happened. History had not happened as expected, at least in what I was told."

Ashayen shrugged the slender shoulders, muttering quietly.
"I see. Well trolls bane is a good place for surprises, so..maybe you'll get what you're looking for..someday."
