Wine...

I know that you can make wine in the game. I also think you need bottles, grapes, and a wine barrel (and yes, my character is smart enough to figure that out as well). But no matter which order I use them in I can't get wine out of it, and most of the time I just end up eating the grapes...

I've wasted a lot of time (and grapes) on this effort and am completely frustrated. I would read a book (something called Bakers, Brewers, and Winegrowing?) but my research skill isn't high enough to give me anything.
I would also ask someone in game but no one will tell me (one person said they knew and wouldn't tell, and the rest said they didn't know).

I would really, really appreciate some guidance here...

I am not sure the current system and have not made any yet... but previously, you had to be able to make apple cider before wine. And I assumed, you stood in front of the wine barrel to make it?

It's part of the cooking skill now, so you might need a bit of skill before you can make it, but the technical way to do this is by having grapes, a bucket of water, and bottles in the belt, while you have a spoon in your hand. Then either use the barrel or the spoon (Not sure which of the two) to see what you can make.

Thank you.
I guess I'll try cider first then...
(are spoons and buckets sold somewhere? or do you have to make them?)

spoons and buckets can be bought from NPC merchants.

and you just use the spoon in front of the barrel.
a menu pops up, where you select, what to make.

cooking spoons have been sold by Gambret on the the roof of the tavern, but when I tried lately, he told me that he doesn't sell anything :? ... and I tried both in German and English

I tried buying from him as well. He told me he didn't sell anything too. I also tried buying grey bottles; someone who's been playing longer than I have said he sold them... and I need them to complete making cider...
