From now on, people who excessively try to light up millions of campfires to start a wildfire will be banned without warning.

Von jetzt an werden Charaktere, die absichtlich versuchen, durch das Anzuenden von tausenden von Lagerfeuern ein Buschfeuer/Lauffeuer anzufachen, ohne Vorwarnung gebannt.

Hello!

Please consider that glasblowers are prone to light up a lot of fires to gain the ashes. Usually their intention is not to start a wildfire.

With kind regards

those, I am sure, will take care about the place they light up the fires

Not to sound ungrateful or anything..

But if i choose a nice building, the library for example :)

And i set campfires in it; and set it alight.. and nobody notices for a while (the library isn't very popular).

Don't you think I can DESTROY an entire building, which would cost (according to building rules) tons of money?

I don't really see the intention of this script except to promote arsons (and to prevent you from doing stupid things in your own house)

If you're lucky enough and
* THIS fire turns into a wildfire
* you do not get caught
* the fire burns down the library and nothing else
well, so be it. That's good or bad luck, people will have to roleplay this situation.

However, if you're not lucky enough and
* you need 20 fires
* you get caught
* the fire burns down some more buildings
make sure that you find something else to do in your spare time. (I suggest reading a book or something)

If any survive that is ;)

What exactly constitutes a breach of ILLARION rules (i'm sure its against the town rules)

1) Setting a lot of campfires JUST to burn a building

Does that count if you have a RP reason to set the building on fire? (example you're burning a shrine or something)

In general: IS it against the rules to TRY to set the building on fire?
(or was the script designed for 'accidents' only)?

If you really want to burn down a house for RP reasons, ask your local GM, he'll tell you if that's a good idea and he'll help you.

If you try to burn down a house by intention, you might try one or two campfires; if that doesn't work (and in general, it won't work), bad luck, you have to try something else.

I don't think pryomaniac is a real word... so that would be fine, I guess.

If you were playing a pyromaniac character, then maybe you'd have to agree it with the gms first?

So you've put in a feature that people can't use?

If this is new some feature in game (I'm not sure, I've never tried recently so forgive me if I am wrong) why even add it in if you don't trust them or don't agree with a basic function?

*looks up* Yes, what he said.

It's not a matter of people not being able to use it, but of people using it excessively, which is what the topic is about

The problem is that such a fire is devasting, if you let everyone use it to burn something down, then soon we have no more woods, towns or something else, because everything will be burned down, if you are lucky you have two mages casting against the flames, then you maybe could stop it, but its nearly unstoppable with buckets only.
