The game is running very slow, for example when I click somewhere the text appears at least a minute later. I tried the options recommended in the checklist: Graphics to 'Reduced', frame rate of 8, Disable Texture on, but it doesn't help. My pc seems fast enough:

OS: Windows XP Professional
DX version: 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
Video Adapter: GF2, driver: nv4_disp.dll, version 6.14.0010.5673
Soundcard: AC97 onboard sound, driver: ALCXWDM.SYS, version 5.10.0000.3590
Internet connection: *DSL, router and firewall
PC: CPU: AMD Athlon XP 1600+, 1.4 GHz, 256MB RAM

Can anyone help me?

Maybe your grahphics drivers lack good openGL support. Check whether it says anything about openGL and maybe try updating graphics drivers.

I don't see anything about OpenGL, but that could be because I don't really know where to look :P I'll try finding an update.

Hello Garen.
A good way to find all needed technical informations and specificities about your computer, is by clicking on 'Start', then 'Run', then typing in 'dxdiag' and hitting enter.
A new window will open, click 'Yes' if a question box appears, and you've got all the information we need to help you :)

The most important thing for illarion appears to be the graphics card.

Open Dxdiag as Karl said, and then use the 'display' tab. Look in the top left corner.

The most important data is the "Name" and the "Total Approx Memory"

VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro Igp
total aprox. memory is 64mb

that enough or do you need more?

The problem is that your graphiccard is ancient. Nearly older then this game ;)

There are no current drivers published by VIA for this card.

So i think your problem is that the OpenGL support is not avaiable or really old.

Currently i see no way around buying a new graphic card. ( those integrated graphic cards are not that good anyway ;) )
