On a scale of 1 to 10, how magical is the world of illarion?

1=lowest
10=highest

Define 'Magickal' please?

Do you mean, "Creatures", "Weapons", "Mages" or just stuff the "Gods" decide to throw down upon their players?

I would rate Illarion in general at about a 3.

That question doesn't make any sense without some sort of comparison.

Such as, what magic level is the world of Illarion where Dungeons and Dragons Eberron setting is 10, Forgotten Realms is 5, and the works of Tolkien are 1, whereas the real world is 0.

Then we could really give some idea, but it would only count for the minute because the game is still in development.

Currently, the world is less magical than it is intended to be. The gods are not present, 3 out of magical schools are not even scripted and the remaining magic school is limited to a few players. Some magical items and effects are implemented, though.

If you ask *me*, the world itself is very magical, with priests and druids being as common as fletchers and tailors. Magic is all around, magical rituals can move mountains or raise islands from the sea, like it was done before (SB/TV).

Less magical than Earthdawn, but more magical than e.g. Dragonlance, if you want numbers, currently 2-3, upcoming 5-7.

There are 5 schools of magic...

Transfreto, Transformo, Decisio, Pervestigatio, Commotio

And I believe the latter 2 are pretty well used. The other three are used minimally, yes, but still scripted. I think one of them (transformo?) only has SIH YEG. What I was told anyway. Decisio's sort of used. Jus Taur Kel... summoning. But yeah, the first 2 aren't used much at all.

But don't trust me on any of that; that's just what I've been told.

I believe the 'four schools of magic' were mages, druids, priests and bards in this case Alex.
