~ Gobaiths Tournament~


Hear ya, hear ya – fighters of Gobaith!

Soon there will take place a great tournament, allocated on three days, in the southwest of the arena.



There are following contests to take part in:

• Onehanded Weapons
• Twohanded Weapons
• Blunt Weapons
• Daggers + Rapiers
• Bow and Arrow
• Barehanded Fight
• Mixed Fight

1st Day
2nd Tanos, 17 o'clock
((Friday, 23rd Feb, 9 pm GMT))
Category: Blunt Weapons, Daggers+Rapiers, Barehanded Fight

2nd Day
5th Tanos, 11 o'clock
((Saturday, 24th Feb, 7 pm GMT))
Category: Onehanded weapons, Twohanded weapons

3rd Day
8th Tanos, 12 o'clock
((Sunday, 25th Feb, 7 pm GMT))
Category: Bow and Arrow, Mixed Fight





Participation:

• - Every participant must have reached the age of 16 years.
  - Men as well as women of all races are allowed to participate.
  - Fee for participation is 1 silver per category.
  - Participants have to register themselves at least 30 minutes BEFORE the fights start. The sooner the better.
  - Opponents will be casted by lots.

Prices: Apart from unspeakable fame, there are prices for the 1st , 2nd and 3rd ranked in every category.



Also Wanted are:

• - Two objective co-referee against payment
  - Two medicos against payment

Basic rules:

• Always two opponents fight against each other (Exception: 'Bow and Arrow')
• Opponents must shake their hands before the fight!
• No potions, no magic!
• BAGS have to be taken off before the fight.
• The opponent who surrendered, leave the ring, or gets knocked out, has lost. Weapons have to be lowered immediately. No fight til death.

Additional rules for the single categories:


Onehanded Weapons:

• The fighter fights with a onehanded weapon of his own choice.
• The fighter can choose if he wants to: fight with a single onehanded weapon, with two onehanded weapons or onehanded weapon + shield.
• Magical weapons are not allowed.
• All kinds of armours are allowed.

Twohanded Weapons:

• The fighter fights with a twohanded weapon of his own choice.
• Magical weapons are not allowed.
• All kinds of armours are allowed.

Blunt Weapons:

• The fighter fights with a blunt weapon of his own choice.
• The fighter can choose if he wants to fight: with a single blunt weapon, with two blunt weapons or with a blunt weapon + shield.
• Magical weapons are not allowed.
• All kinds of armours are allowed.

Daggers+Rapiers

• The fighter fights with a dagger or rapier of own choice.
• The fighter can choose if he wants to fight with: A single dagger, two daggers, a single rapier, two rapiers or a dagger + rapier.
• Shields are not allowed.
• ONLY leather armours are allowed. (That also counts for shoes and gloves)

Bow and Arrow

• The archer can shoot with a bow of own choice
• ONLY normal arrows can be used (they will be provided)
• Crossbows are not allowed
• There are targets to be aimed. The archer with the most points wins.
• The first three arrows count.
• Armoury doesn't matter.

Barehanded Fight

• Fighters fight with their bare hands
• No weapons
• All kind of armours are forbidden. Only allowed to wear: shoes/boots, trousers and shirt.

Mixed Fight

• Every fighter fights with armour and weapon of his own choice. Magical weapons allowed.
• Basic rules are valid!

Demnächst findet ein großes Turnier, auf drei Tage verteilt, etwas südwestlich von der Arena statt!


Es können folgende Kategorien bestritten werden:

• Einhandwaffen
• Zweihandwaffen
• Stumpfe Waffen
• Dolche + Degen
• Pfeil und Bogen
• Waffenloser Kampf
• Gemischter Kampf

((Sonntag, 23.02. - 20 Uhr MEZ))
Kategorie: Pfeil und Bogen, Gemischter Kampf




Teilnahme:

• - Die Teilnehmer müssen das 16. Lebensjahr erreicht haben
  - Es können Männer als auch Frauen aller Rassen teilnehmen
  - Teilnahmegebühr beträgt 1 Silber pro Kategorie
  - Teilnehmer müssen sich SPÄTESTENS 30 Minuten bevor die Kämpfe beginnen registrieren. Umso früher, umso besser.
  - Die Gegner werden jeweils zufällig ausgelost.

Preise: Abgesehen vom unsagbaren Ruhm gibt es großartige Preise für den 1., 2. und 3. Platz pro Kategorie.



Gesucht werden außerdem:

• - Zwei objektive Co-Schiedsrichter gegen Bezahlung
  - Zwei Medikusse gegen Bezahlung

Grundregeln:

• Es treten immer zwei Mann gegeneinander an (Ausnahme 'Pfeil und Bogen')
• Vor dem Kampf schütteln sich die Gegner die Hände!
• Keine Tränke, keine Magie!
• TASCHEN werden vor dem Kampf abgenommen.
• Wer sich ergibt, den Ring verlässt, bewusstlos oder erschlagen wird, hat verloren. Waffen werden sofort gesenkt! Kein Kampf bis zum Tod.

Regeln für die einzelnen Kategorien:

Einhandwaffen:

• Der Kämpfer kann mit einer Einhandwaffe seiner Wahl kämpfen
• Der Kämpfer kann selbst entscheiden ob er: Mit einer Einhandwaffe, mit zwei Einhandwaffen oder mit Einhandwaffe + Schild kämpfen möchte.
• Magische Waffen sind nicht erlaubt
• Alle Rüstungen erlaubt

Zweihandwaffen:

• Der Kämpfer kann mit einer Zweihandwaffe seiner Wahl kämpfen
• Magische Waffen sind nicht erlaubt
• Alle Rüstungen erlaubt

Stumpfe Waffen:

• Der Kämpfer kann mit einer stumpfe Waffe seiner Wahl kämpfen
• Der Kämpfer kann selbst entscheiden ob er: Mit einer stumpfen Waffe, mit zwei stumpfen Waffen, mit einer zweihändigen stumpfen Waffe oder mit stumpfer Waffe+Schild kämpfen möchte.
• Magische Waffen sind nicht erlaubt
• Alle Rüstungen erlaubt

Dolche+Degen:

• Der Kämpfer kann mit einem Dolch oder einem Degen seiner Wahl kämpfen
• Der Kämpfer kann selbst entscheiden ob er: Mit einem Dolch, mit zwei Dolchen, mit einem Degen, mit zwei Degen oder mit Dolch + Degen kämpfen möchte.
• Schilde sind nicht erlaubt
• NUR Lederrüstungen sind erlaubt. (Das gilt auch für Schuhe und Handschuhe)

Pfeil und Bogen

• Der Kämpfer darf mit einem Bogen seiner Wahl schießen.
• Es werden NUR normale Pfeile verwendet (werden bereitgestellt)
• Armbrüste sind nicht erlaubt.
• Gezielt wird auf eine Zielscheibe. Der Schütze mit den meisten Punkten gewinnt.
• Die ersten drei Pfeile werden gewertet.
• Rüstungen spielen keine Rolle.

Waffenloser Kampf

• Es wird mit den Fäusten gekämpft
• Keine Waffen
• Rüstungen jeglicher Art sind verboten. Es dürfen nur Schuhe/Lederstiefel, Hemd und Hose getragen werden.

Gemischter Kampf

• Jeder Kämpfer kann mit Rüstung und Waffe seiner Wahl kämpfen. Magische Waffen erlaubt.
• Es gelten die Grundregeln!

I do wish to join the tournament, specifically interested in One-Handed weapons. However, while I would be longing to participate, I regret to say that I will not be available on the new date arranged.

Then again, I could make it for both of the other dates, and I prefer having the One-Handed category organized on the 8th of Tanos, so that Dain may join aswell.

Mister Kl'urk wishes to sign in for the one handed and two handed tournament.

There is a bloody orcen handprint under the letters

Its funny to see that so many are not able to read what Thorvald D'onâr wrote.

May a simple warrior of the northmark explain what is written.
The sentence "I will be there already 1 hour earlier for people to register for the categories." means that the register of warriors for the tournament starts an hour before the contests. So its absolutly useless to try to sign in now.

I really hope that you fight better then you read. Else it will become a really boring tournament.

Are riders bows allowed in the bow and arrow match, if so, sign me up. Edit: Went back and re read the rules, answered my own question, still, sign me up.

Additional to the rules of *all* categories: POISENED weapons are forbidden as well.

Another addition to the rules for Onehanded and Twohanded fight: DROW Blades/Swords are not allowed. The winner is supposed to be the person who fights best, and not who has the best equipment.

Weiters zu den Regeln für Einhändigen- und zweihändigen Kampf: DROW Klingen/Schwerter sind nicht erlaubt. Der Winner soll derjenige sein der am besten kämpft, nicht der der die beste Ausrüstung hat.

People have paid good money for drowblades now. Maybe at the start if you thought this you should've stated that everyone should use serinjah swords and leather armour. I personally see it unreasonable to ban drow blades from the competition just because they are powerful, when people are getting away with buying the best armours.
