*this parchment has been replaced with the following:*
"Perhaps this will one day be posted on the govern election board, for now, it shall be removed because of rule breaking."

I am sorry to be so frank, Mister Lecour, but I wonder how long you have been around this town. I have never even heard of you, let alone met you, and I would find it disturbing were you to be elected. We have already made that mistake with Constantine Valentine, and we got one of the worst, least active governors that I have seen in my time in Gobiath. I urge citizens to vote for one of the more well known candidates, no matter what ideas this man has.
As for what I would do with this town, I realise that the biggest single thing for citizens is security of the town. I would look to recruit new guards, and pay a small wage to each of them. This wage would be based upon performance; upon the number of criminals detained, chased away, or even killed (excluding the guard captain). The wage would allow no excuses for poor performance, and so the guard would be much more efficient and active.
However I am not so generous as to fund this from my own pocket. I would look to a lot of ways to generate income for Trollsbane. I would look to expand the territory, which would put more land to sell to citizens, making more money.
I would look to start the first ever Gobiath wide lottery. Any could partake and win a coin prize! Also I would look to have street markets were merchants can sell wares and give a percentage of intake to our government, and also regular faires to hold games, music and ale, and other merriments.
I might also employ dedicated tradesmen to make money for the town in exchange for privileges within town.
And of course, a contreversial issue; taxes. I would try to not tax citizens, but if absolutely necessary, I will not count it out.
I also have other idea to make Trollsbane the most productive and safe town on the whole isle!

be advised, to recruit a strong guard, if you ever should be elected.
because, when you try to expand on our lands, you will need them.

Excuse me, but what you said right there was exactly what I stated in my early boarding.
Many of the ideas you just stated were slightly taken fro mme, including the market/carnival idea.
Also, what makes you think that a man that has been here longer will be a better govenor? I have been here for quite a while now, more than you think, though I am not that well-known on this island, does that make a different to what quality my leadership skills are?
I'm a bit confused as you just sabatodged my idea boarding, and clamped it with a campaign of your own..

Samuel... a few words if I may. How on Gobaith do you know about what has happened to this land if you are new in town? And because you are that; new in town; I must say that you are not a fit candidate for the position in my opinion.

I am content about your concern. Though I am not extirely new here, I just have not shown my face to alot of people; I have been here around the time where Derek Corydon was having the conflict with the Captain of the Guard, Bailey Thunnigan. Please point out to me where it said I was a new occupant to this town.

Dear Samuel Lecour,
I appreciate your efforts for thinking about how to improve the town Troll's Bane. I appreciate your try to suggest ideas, which partly cover some of what Troll's Bane may need. I appreciate your efforts to get know to the current situation in the town and on the island, since there are not many newcomers who do the same.
However, I am afraid that this your parchment may be inappropriate due to three reasons:
First, as far as i know the time for being officially nominated as candidate expired some days ago. However, since the Magistrate organises the new elections it is up to her to officially proclaim the names of persons who are allowed to be candidats. So, since you are not officially accepted as being candidate, yet, you should wait until the official list of candidates is released.
Second, since the time for election campaings has not officially started, I am afraid that your efforts are inadequate. It is against the good manners and against fair elections to start such campaign you are currently doing, before the time for that has come.
Third, even worth than stating your own dedicated ideas of what Troll's Bane might need, you go against other candidate's suggestions in a rather harsh way. It is not only the way you choose your words but the content as well. Some of your ideas are common sense and little unique or inspiring. Some even go against useability in reality, as far as I can assess regarding my three years I am on this island now and regarding my position and experiences as Captain of the Town Guard.
All in all, I only can repeat that I am glad to see that a newcomer to Gobiath cares for the future of Troll's Bane. And I must say that some of your assessments of the current situation are indeed right, others less right.
I hope that your will to serve Troll's bane will last long, hopefully so long untill you become a citizen of this town, and hopefully even longer so you have the opportunity to really get in touch with the situation Troll's bane is currently in.
Sincerely,
~Siltaris~

Well I've been here 5 years and I've never seen or heard of you so I merely assumed you were new in town.

Lady Siltaris,
I wish to apoligize if I came off a bit.. aggressive. Anyway, I will remove my parchment and will wait until the Magistrate decides on weither or not to accept my candicy.
Regarding the ideas, these are only a taste of what I am offering, basically a base for what might happen if I am elected. Thank you for showing your concern and I will strive to be a little bit less rude in my comments, I am used to being competitve, that's all. Thank you.

And Mister Lecour, I have explained all my ideas to Miss Siltaris the previous day, perhaps you would care to ask her if you still believe the ridiculous idea that I would try to steal your ideas.

The only logical response to this is to vote for Fooser. The interests of Trollsbane and its friends has not been progressed in the last months, and now it's time to change that.
