Dear citizens of Troll's Bane, der folks,
Due to the appearance of spiders in the library of Troll's Bane, its first floor is temporarily closed for public. The spiders messed the rooms up.
The Town Guard has already removed a dead sheep, which was aparently brought there by the spiders, and burnt it at a safe place.
The Town Troll's Bane is currently looking for someone who is willing to clear the mess up. If anyone is interested in doing that job, please write your name down. The payment will be 2 silvercoins for cleaning everything up.
Sincerely,
~Siltaris~
Captain of the Town Guard

There is no fine nor jailment. It is just strongly recommended to avoid that room until it is clear again. I guess that people will understand that this messy room should be avoided untill it is cleaned up.
If we should notice that there are too many people walking through the first floor of the library and hinder the people cleaning the mess up, we will lock the library.
Sincerely,
~Siltaris~

Lady Siltaris,
I would like to offer my service in cleaning this mess up.
I have already started doing this on my own and even tried to bolt the doors in the library, however the spiders seem to continue breaking through.

Dear folks,
after the appearance of spiders in the library again, the library is hereby closed temporarily until the the cause found is found and the threat is defeated.
It is too dangerous to walk into this building, so the Town of Troll's bane hardly recommends to avoid the library.
Anyone who is seen in there without good reason is allowed to be punished with 3 days jail. Making hunt on spiders on their own is no excuse, unless the guard expressively allowed it or someone is in danger.
Thanks to the people who expressed their will to clean the mess up. Their helping hands will be needed in near future for sure.

This is interesting. Usually, our library should not be home to spiders, although i must admit that some of the books in some shelves have developed a bit dust and caught a few cobwebs.
We recommend that noone should enter the WHOLE Library until the whole matter is solved. Entrance is, of course, at own risk. Due to these circumstances, it may be necessary that we must lock the doors of the Library for a longer time until the source of this problem has been cleared.
Fact is that the spiders have not enough food inside the building to grow to that size, so it is definitely clear that they have been brought into the library somehow.
Please report any strange happenings during the browsing of bookshelves (especially strange old tomes of unknown origin, which may sometimes appear behind newer books in the shelves as well as strangely behaving mages and summoners) directly to me.
I will immediately inform members of the order to investigate.
Templar Enwell von Illdoran will most likely lead the operation.

P.S: Lady Siltaris, i thank you for warning the public. If you have any useful information that may help on this topic please let me know when we can meet. Whenever you experience trouble within or from the library, you can contact me or Templar Enwell von Illdoran. We built the Library to be of public use, not to be a public danger, and a cooperation between the order's templars and the town guard may be useful.

Why would a spider grow to 'the size' you are referring to?
Why in the library? Why should the gods want to punish the followers of Elara?
