I was randomly walking around the illa world a few minutes ago and found myself in the cemetery. Just for the heck of it I was reading all of the gravestones. Much to my amazement, I noticed that one of them said "Here rests Rothgaril. The life chooses the death."

The character I was wandering around with was Rothgaril. It was the middle gravestone. So either it just shows the name of the character you are using (which I plan on testing soon) or I somehow got on a gravestone. If one of the GMs decided to put me on the gravestone I don't really mind, I'm not complaining. In fact it would be quite understandable since I hadn't played in about a year and a half. It may create some excellent rp for me as well. If there was a specific reason I was put on a gravestone though, it would be nice to know so I could rp it correctly. And if someboody says "find out ingame" then what am I supposed to say? "Hey, do you know why I'm apparently dead and buried and still alive and walking at the same time?" Obviously that would be ridiculous. So, I'm just a little curious and I thought that that was rather amusing

I think it puts the name of your current character

Haven't seen it myself though

It's a reflection to every char. And it isn't a joke..

Well if it's not a joke, what is it? It would only lead to confusion in rp. Imagine this. 2 people are in the graveyard. One says, "Look, my name is on that gravestone!" THe other says, "What do you mean. It has my name, not yours." And then a huge argument ensues over whos name is on the gravestone. Or, much more likely, the rp would just be cut short because they would just see it as a glitch in the system.Or maybe, if we could get an acceptable EXPLANATION as to why that gravestone is there and works like that that we could use ingame then we would be able to rp it properly. But if everybody interprets it different, it wouldn't quite work like it's supposed to.

I considered it a warning.

Exactly. The life chooses the death. What your character does (though it can transfer over to RL) in life, will be what determines how your character will eventually die. Just how does your character wish to be remembered (if at all), when they go to the grave?

Every character has to die... sooner or later.

You think you were confused?

((The first time i read it really gave me the creeps.))
Oh, yeah.
I have lived as a victim and will die as a victim.
(Maybe i should help putting up a blood-hungry government..

)
I see my future bright before me..
A old hag, despised because of her unwillingness to blame some scum, poor in coin, the children sold to the mainland and the beloved killed by the ones, i am respected and pitied the most...every thug on the isle..
I feel safe now.
((just because im`a PGr does not mean i am a PG-fighter..))
