A message to all the peoples of Troll's Bane.

You may not know me, though I have watched many of you. I have been around either Sitting in tavern or outside the shop and I have noticed one thing about Troll's Bane that stands out above all others, and this thing is diversity. People from all places and races can be found in this wonderful town. Truly a great thing CAN become of this place.

There seems to be a flaw in this town. A flaw that is not allowing this town to shine it's brightest colors. This flaw is the government of the Troll's Bane. I myself have been here for over a week now and still I am yet to see the governor or read a recent statement by him. Instead I see a woman who is in power. She seems to have all the power of a tyrant and uses it! For instance the law regarding Harassment states -
"Harassment and general misconduct go against keeping order within the town. Small or first time offenses will be dealt with lightly, a very short ban from town or a fine, unless the person wishes to make a bigger deal of it. Once the ban or fine is done, they can enter town again as normal.
Does the word lightly not exist in there? I have heard of offensive magic being casted on people for harassing".

Let us move to defensive magic. The law states that "Magic can be used for defense of the town. Aggressive magic for any other reason is banned, because magic can be quite unpredictable, meaning it could cause unintended consequences to others". It says NO WHERE anything about it being allowed for punishment. It has been used in cases that have not escalated past words. Or or unkind words something that is an attack on the town and the magic needs to be used for the defense of it?

When Samantha Meryadeles is not around there is no form of governing figure and when she is there is no just governing figure. I urge the people of Troll's Bane to speak out and try to set up a better system of government for themselves and their fellows town's people.

If you see that my name is not on the citizen list it is simply because I am not granted citizenship, for the governor is absent from his duties.

Respectfully yours,

Osrich Rosenwalle

I am not leading this town and i have no powers to do any official desicions. The only desicions i can make are about law and order. And that I do. I try to uphold law and order, I try to protect the citizens against crime and unfair treatment, against respectless behaviour and harrassment.
And sometimes violence is needed to do so.

This isle is a dangerous and rough isle, and alone with words you won't have ever success, not against the many threats and dangers we got on this isle.

And if someone who does harassments and ignores the light punishment for it doesnt pay attention and even continue, he earns himself more harsh punishment. Sadly most peoples WANT to make a bigger deal of it, like said in the law. And than it WILL be bigger, and it will be their own fault.

When i use my magic powers, than just after those doing something wrong doesnt listen to the first warnings i give, simply ignoring them and continueing.

Thats all.

The flaw of Trollsbane is that it no longer has an amazing, and extremely good looking King.

I am new in Troll's Bane and right on the first day I arrived, I tried to find out who the leader of this city is. I asked a couple of people, but nobody was able to give me a satisfying answer.

To me it seems sad that there is no good and strong government or a powerful (perhaps good looking) King in which everybody can trust and which everybody knows.

Also there is no city hall or other building on behalf, where you can get advice (I only found the tavern for this.) or where officials of the town execute there power (I can't imagine a king sitting in prison and giving commands to guards.).

Respectfully, Macadamion

Corious like allways.

The Magistrate Samantha Meryadeles is the last of the goverment, who tries to keep up any order. Why she should be the one, who should be punished for the situation? Why the people get punihsed, if they are the only who take care for you?

Where is the Governor, elected by the citizens? He is the one, who has the power but do not do anything.

Maybe the Magistrate should call for new elcetions. And i agree, the town need a new structure. It can not be, that governors get the full power to decide about townguard and magistrate alone. The election of the governor should not mean to change all persons of public services, which works fine.

The Magistrate works fine. It seems to be the only, who works. Except of it the town can be closed.

You need people who do their job by following the law, not people with the same thinks!

That was the advantage of the old Lyrenzia and Triumvirate. All involved parties had own goals. But they accepted the decisions of the majority and law and did their job, the neccessary work.

What ever are the goals of your words, but I am Lennier, Grandmaster of the Grey Rose, former councilor of this town within the Goverment by Lyrenzia and the Triumvirate, which followed after Lyrenzia was inactive, with experiences of lots of years.

I lost my motivation to rule this town, when the majority started to think to stay outside of law, when the people thought, that the experiences of the Grey Rose are not needed anymore.

But i am still citizen of this town, as long as no goverment of this town remove my citizenry. And i take my right, to give my advice and to remember on the old days, when the goverments stood for longer time than only 2-3 months.

I aswell belief that we need new elections soon if Mister Valentin continues to be that much absence.

We need a governeur who is active...

I also hope that Mister Valentine won't forget that he has all the Silver that belongs to Trollsbane...and that this Silver still belongs to the town even if he isnt voted again for Governeur.

I think the smarter thing to do is to hire a treasuror who is trustworthy.

I'd happily apply for that as a volunteer, and I need something to do while I'm not doing court cases and such.

Does this make you above law and order? Does this allow you to strike one down for words? You seem to avoid the points made against you. You had no right to break the law which basically outlaws offensive magic.

You are the judge, not the executioner...you are slime...filth staining the town of trollsbane. I will not sign my name for the risk of being killed for my opinions.

I have no problem with the way things are run currently.
However, there seems to be quite an absence of authority such as the town guard. I saw two reports in the trollsbane boards stating that two citizens had been attacked by the same three bandits. The only result was the guards complaining about thier accusations of being neglective... quite a shame.

Her ladyship Meryadeles has done a fine job keeping order in the town. In fact, if it were not for her, this town would already be controled by the temple. And the opinions of those who do not have the gull or honour to sign their name should not be listened to. Lady Meryadeles would not kill anyone for their opinions. Disrespect and dishonour is another thing.
