Just be glad that the map team gives warning now. Some people were not so kind in the past.

Doesn't work if the info comes at maybe 3pm, you log in at 3.15pm and the update comes at 3.30pm

I guess she meant that maybe, broadcast something like: "Mapupdate in 30 minutes exactly, start getting ready to log off"
Or something
And after 25 minutes: "Map update in 5 minutes, please log off. Last delay"

And after 4.5 minutes: "Map update in 30 seconds."
And after .5 minute: Map update.

That might take a minute of their time.

It'd be better if its a log in message:

"Welcome to illarion there are X people online
Warning: Map update at [time]" (timezones don't matter, people will look at the minutes)

That way, if you log in between 20 and 10 you won't plant then discover you'll lose them.

and then after another minute: see? told you not to plant all at the same time.

Unfortunately Calenleia, there is very little you or anyone else can do about it, or quite frankly, be bothered to do about it. No offense, but I'm sure many people wont care or be very sympathetic towards you, simply because it has happened to everyone.
Occasionally, bad things happen because of a mess up, for example fighters being killed due to extreme lag, and people losing money and skillgain by server crashes.
You must just learn to accept that these things happen, and to just get on with it. I can understand your frustration but at the end of the day, you will have another chance to plant tomatoes and earn silver or skill, or whatever.
My words to you are "Sorry, bad luck, but dont worry about it, and get on with it". That is the attitude to adopt when these things occur.

Happend to me twice with onions, oh my onions. I lost like 120 onion plants (all my seeds) so I had to borrow from a union buddy and repay him the seeds the first time. Then like 60 plants the second. Its a pain in the rear with the longer growing plants. (cabbage,onion,tomato)
