Do NOT attack Golems. The monsters have a bug actually. Avoid attacking them at all cost.

Any more details about the bug? And would be even allowed to log to avoid attacking them?

Simply run away. they are slow enough that a rabbit could run away from them

damien,
what to do, if it is too late to run?
when the monster allready attacks?
log out, or fight back?

Odd, the one I saw yesterday was faster than a skeleton.

Hmm, strange. those i saw crawled like rabbits over the ground

Well its hard for me.
When my char gets targetted by these things, its almost asif they go through some sudden hornyness.. and begin running faster than Retty <.<
I told you i was breaking the server!

Indeed, I encountered two on rocky ground and they quickly caught up and attacked me.....so I logged.

Maybe its about rocky ground? I doubt it'll slow em...
Erm, we have golems?
What exactly IS the bug?
Posted: Mon Jan 22, 2007 6:28 pm
by Samantha Meryadeles
The bug is fixed now, as far as i heard. the amount of dropped coins was bugged.

Damn, i should have been attacking golems

What they dropped a lot of silver?
Posted: Mon Jan 22, 2007 6:34 pm
by Retlak
You mean ** silvers is not what they were meant to drop?
....
It should, those things are indestructable.
Oh and Skallib, The golems can take 20 of the strongest magic spell and many hits from a few strong warriors before dying. i doubt you wanted to attack them

*sighs* not as many as they did. and every experienced illarion player should have seen that the moment the coins got dropped

the bug was that they turned into rocks when they died, wasnt it? Thats why there is a rock on the south east bridge. And golems are quite hard... 3 people, 3-4 potions, and some less durable armor to take one out =P

1. is that a bug? it would be nice that killing one will turn into a rock on the map...
2. is/was that the reason for the rock in eliza's? (haven't even noticed if it's still there or has been removed)

The ammount of coins dropped could only be obtained by very experienced players and team work. It should have been correct in the first place Patric, considering those coins get split amongst the team usually, people end up with not many silvers each.

by Samantha Meryadeles
No, not really Retlak. A monster dropping 30 silvers? you warriors earned 30 silvers each one in 1 hour monster fighting.
p.s. when testing the monster with samantha she earned 30 silvers in 40 seconds, without getting scratched by it. calculate how much that would have been in 1 hour.
Posted: Mon Jan 22, 2007 6:42 pm
by Salathe
golems do NOT drop 30 silver each time... its about every 3 or 4 golems that drop it...
Posted: Mon Jan 22, 2007 6:43 pm
by Samantha Meryadeles
And how long has it took you to kill 3-4 golems?
Posted: Mon Jan 22, 2007 6:43 pm
by Retlak
To get to the position oh the skill needed, and aqquire the same amount of skilled warriors in the first place requires a hell of along time playing that char. By then silvers are like pennies Patric. Just because you did not get any does not mean no one else should.
(and golems don't drop 30 silvers every time)
All i am saying is, there was reports on how there will be npcs that need extream team work that will give nice reward, then its just removed...
....
Back to mummies.

last night we fought golems for about 45 minutes, we got a total of 30 silver for each of us, and we had 3 people. Some diamonds and maybe 300 copper for each of us as well

by Samantha Meryadeles
Retlak, samantha could have earned the silver alone, and that much easier than you. she could kill a golem alone before that one even takes notice of her.
so you see, i havent told a gm about this bug because i havent got my share. i did because it WAS a bug and should not be so. there is a rule against bugabuse and we, the players, have the duty to inform about every bug we find.
And the golem got fix. it still drops a fair amount of silver. just not the overpowered amount of before.

...
Your char is using bugged spells i guess.
We had god knows how many strong fighters, and a mage blasting the strongest spell over 20 times. before one died.
It WAS bloody good challenge. Try not hiding behind rocks maybe.

yea so the mages can pwn mobs before they even notice them, and us warriors need 3 people and alot of work, a couple of deaths, long battles running away and attacking to find out HOW to kill them good, so we can get a reward. Lets nerf mages
the only bug i see here now is that mages kill them too good and get alot of money easy, warriors dont =P

by Retlak
By the way,
It better not be something like 10 silvers...
10 silvers for a mage is heaven, sure, you got to buy a wand, but the warriors not only have to end up splitting it, getting small amounts each, but they need a hell of alot of money to get quality equipment.

by Samantha Meryadeles
It is the amount of money the staff sees fitting for that task.
And about your difficultie to defeat the Golem. How many of you used swords and axes, and how many really something more usefull like big, heavy hammers?

Posted: Mon Jan 22, 2007 7:00 pm
by Salathe
yea we used conc weapons, and we did better with slashing

Samantha doesn't speak for the enitre community of mage/casting characters. and of corse she has a few tool most aren't privy to, so it's pointless to judge all mages by that standard. oh and this has nothing to do with anything as always. same useless arguments.
