Mission:
Gobaith’s Tailoring Guild, currently led by Baron Dusty Bottoms, hopes to introducing the art of tailoring to everyone interested in Gobaith. The guild’s purpose will be to train new disciples to this profession and to make the market of Clothes, Leathers, Furs, Dyes and such a little more active upon the isle, hopefully encouraging trading and selling of these goods, by taking commands, selling and making leather goods that will be fulfilled by the members needing a coin.

Guild Rules:
The guild’s headquarters are in Greenbriar, just west of Briar creek. They will consist of a building, five cows and two sheep contained to the south. Please, try not slaying the sheeps, shearing them would be preferred.
Members of the guild may organize trades, or learning sessions in the building, but the herds of sheep and pigs are only for members of the guild to work on. Any intruder may be asked to depart the site, lest he will be dealt with according to GreenBriar's laws. The building, though, is free for anyone to enter.
The Head Master or council members, or any law enforcements of Greenbriar may see fit to ask you to depart the guild’s ground.

Individuals currently allowed to work there:
Members of Gobaith’s Tailoring Guild
All Citizens of Greenbriar

Current members:
Guildmaster: Baron Dusty Bottoms
Lady Maggie Kemoc
Skaalib Drurr
Calenleia
Magnus Magnol
Merrilyn Ferly

If you would like to sell/trade tailored goods, you may post here.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are currently building our headquarters in Greenbriar which will consist of:
10 pigs
4 sheep
2 Barrels
A loom & stool
A spinning wheel & stool
2 Tailoring Tables & 2 stools
2 Mannequins
A greenbriar depot
A Fireplace & assorted decorations
A meeting table with 6 chairs
Plenty of Carpet (We're Tailors!)
And the building itself with a lockable door (It will remain open)

(Materials list will be posted soon)

Added new members, lets all welcome Pho'Phae and Calenlia. They are now granted to farm in the Greenbriar's farm after they meet with me. (Once we bring the animals and build it, of course..)

All new members will need to meet me personally, send me a dove with a date where you might free yourself.

A fine job on the design Johnny. I must ask that you remove the part about 'killing' intruders ' on sight. That is against our laws in Greenbriar. I would suggest that we simply ask non-guild members to get their pigs and sheep elsewhere, many towns have them these days. If they refuse, then the Law of Greenbriar will deal with them.

I now have all the 545 Naldor and 525 Apple wood logs and 21 buckets, mark off those on your list. Told you I'm good at getting resources.

We welcome Magnus Magnol within our guild, and thank him for his generous donation of shovels, nails, sand, scissors, needles, and others.

We also thank Merung Habres for a donation of 76 yellow cloths, 10 buckets of yellow dye and 6 buckets of green dye

Yet a new member! Welcome to Nerisella Shortankard, I shall meet her soon hopefully.

It's encouraging to see that we got more than 5 members in the first day, without even having the guild built yet. Thank you for your participation, everyone.

Will the guild be securing prices on tailored goods, these are meager at best, the finest silks sold for the price of undyed wools.

We have no control over the prices merchants and traders set for their goods, but I'm sure most of our members will be reasonable, by the fact we have our own farms to get our necessary materials.
Please, refrain from pinning such inquiries on the boards, and adress such questions by dove to (( this forum account ))
Thank you,

I also have the 10 'long wooden stacks'. Great work on donations by the members!

We need to work more on raising the required silver. I will start on this.

We now add Truagn Nutholk to our guild's member list.

For the ones who still are not full members, I will start placing meetings after (( any day after Wednesday 3PM GMT, from today till Wednesday, is exam period for me, sorry. )). I will try and meet with every single one of you, and then you will become full members, with the permission to use the pig and sheep farms in Greenbriar once they're constructed.

We have gathered most of the material, but we still require:

1010 Bricks
30 Hammers
660 nails
500 connifer tree logs
7 saws
And the silver.

I am not sure how much Mayor Dusty has gathered of these, I hope he can send me a dove and tell me so I can check them off the list, and maybe start arranging a construction date for Lorian.

If you would like to donate to the guild, being a member or not, please send a dove to (( This forum account )). We especially need silver, if you can spare any.

I hope most members will be present at the construction site to help a little, once the date is fixed.

Once the guild is constructed, I plan to start giving leather works, dyeing, wool work, cloth work and such lessons in the guild's building. These will be separated into different classes, with practical training, since we will also have all the required tools we need in the guild's hall, thanks to Dusty again.

Arnold,
With my poor knowledge of the old language, I can guess you wish to donate silvers, I thank you, and thank the other anonymous donator.
Please, give the silvers to Dusty, as I have to go away for some days, to check on the sheeps and pigs from merchants out of Gobaith.
I shall be back as soon as I can, please do any donations or inquiries to Dusty meanwhile.
Thank you,

((I lost my home connection for some reason and I'm not sure when it'll be back.))

Will the Cows also be used as pigs?
Can the leather be sewed? Or is it to difficult?

~ Calenleia

by Rasteel Olin
Yes, Calenleia.
A dry hit of a blade right under the ear gets them killed instantly. You can then skin their hide, extract their entrails and the steak they provide is succulent.

The most renown cook around the isle, Gilbert Merrimac, a perky halfling, has offered to buy all kind of meats for prices I'll leave him the opportunity to post.

For us tailors, the leathers and entrails is what's most important, so why not make profit off the meat we get from animals?

He will buy it all.

I hope he'll pin his prices on this parchment soon.

I now have all the bricks required as well as payment from Caelum of 55 silvers to add the the donations.

Johnny, it was requested in our town meeting yesterday that citizens of Greenbriar be allowed access to the sheep and cows. I think we should allow that since they are donating so much to making this a reality.

Just consider visitors as trespassers, or just say "Citizens are automatically members" Whichever you prefer.

Our dyeing workshop was delayed due to weather, but when the blizzard cleared, we were able to continue with 3 students. The lesson went very well and all 3 passed with success.

New dyers to the land:
Calenleia
Isilwen
Nathaniel Black

They can make Green cloth, green and red dyes, and soon yellow and black dyes and cloths.

Due to the weather, I know everyone couldn't be there that wanted to. So, rest assured. I will host another workshop in three weeks at the same time. ((Next Sunday, 5pm GMT))

Also, Calenleia said she will be hosting the same workshop in the old language at another time. Keep posted.

Thank you all for making it a success. We raised 4 silvers for the guild!

Updated the parchment above.
We are almost done gathering ressources.
The thing we'll have the most troubles with are silvers, if you'd like to donate, contact me or Mayor Dusty.
Thank you,

Dear Arnold,

The Guildhouse will be built across the river, west of the Hosptal. A bridge and street will be built also. South of the Guildhouse there will be 2 sheep and 3 cows in the countryside.

All citizens may be able to use the Guildhouse and animals.

Thank you for your donations.

Dear Arnold,
Simply a small addition to Dusty's reply;
On the highest parchment above, you can see what will be built in the guild.
There will be 5 cows, not 3.
And all FULL members of the guild can use the animals. And the honorary citizens of GreenBriar, not anyone that passes by.
But of course, you are most welcome to use them, as would be anyone who has helped the guild's construction. We thank you much.

Also, ALL current members and full members of the guild are to send a dove to (( this forum account )) to confirm your membership and still interest in the remaining in the guild before it is completely built.
The ones who are not full members yet will have to meet with me, Johnny Lant.
You have about one dwarven week (1 RL week) to respond, or be asked out of the guild's member list.

Thank you,

Johnny Lant
Head Master of Gobaith's Tailoring Guild

A translation, thank you Mister Magnus Magnol;

Sehr geehrter Winkelried,

Danke euch,
Johnny Lant

I have obtained all the hammers, saws and have made a deal with someone to get the rest of the wood.

I will continue to make more nails and finish those too. All we need are the Silvers and we are finished!

By the way, Guildmember Calenliea is hosting a Dye workshop in the Old language. ((See 'Hamlet' Thread)). I ask that if you have any friends interested, send them to her. I will host another in three weeks ((Next Sunday)) in the new language. This is a good way to earn some silvers as well as increase knowledge about dyeing.
