Aristeaus helped Quinasa board the ship at the harbour that would take them far away. Their goodbyes had been few, but meaningful and the elfess had no regrets about leaving the home she shared with her husband for years. The pain that tugged at the strings of her heart were behind her and her future looked brighter than ever before. With one hand she held tight the hand of her husband, facing north as the island was getting smaller. And with the other hand she gently rubbed her stomach. Aristeaus laid a hand on the rail, his face thoughtful. She knew what he was thinking, she'd gone through that same feeling of elation the week before, felt it propelling her to a state of anxious excitement she didn't think she'd ever feel again. But it would be different this time, they were moving somewhere safe, somewhere they could rest and be at peace. She wouldn't have to worry about wars and civil unrest, she would have protection and she would have Aristeaus like she had never had him before. The world was her's, it was their's. They could have it together with their new baby.
Oh the stories they'd be able to share; all the trouble they caused and the fun they had. The only sorrow she felt looking at the small spot that was Gobaith was the two people she didn't get a chance to say goodbye to. She was sure Irania would know where to find her, and when the time was right they would ask Alex and Athian to visit them - so it didn't hurt too much. The thought of seeing her father again, and her little brother, had her swaying with glee. Aristeaus took her hand and lead her to a bench. She laughed at the look of concern on his face. This is what I'm facing every day for the next eight months, she thought to herself. This look of constant worry and concern. She laughed again.
"I don't think I can stand it," she said aloud, grinning.
"What?" he asked her, his brows coming together.
"You," she replied, "I'm no invalid!"
He sat down and laughed too, it was a good sound.

The tall man watched as the ship left, staying within the shadows. He had not said goodbye, and he still regretted not walking up to them as they left. But it was for the best within his mind. His ice blue eyes watch the ship fade into the distance, knowing that he would never see his old friend again. The large man turned, heading back home the home that Aristeaus and Athian had founded nearly alone. He looked over his shoulder once more and whispered to the wind.
Perhaps in another life time, we will meet again, old friend. My lighter half.
A small grin spread at the jest Arist had made some time ago about Revlen being his darker half. Memories, they had a way of brining a grin to ones face, or brining them down. Revlen shook his head, not to think of such things, and thought instead of his Maggie, and their unborn child as he headed home.

Having heard the talk about town... how could she not have?... Maggie cursed soundly and took off for the harbor as swiftly as she could. The one person she *truly* remembered, so long they had been friends, and she wouldn't even be able to say goodbye?
As she neared the docks, she caught sight of Revlen's form, and that of sails sinking away on the waves, and cursed again under her breath as her steps slowed.
"I'm... too late." It was half a question, half a statement, as her head lowered, hoping her hair would fall to hide her eyes as she closed them to try and keep tears from falling.
After a moment, she looked up, whispering softly after the sails, "I will do my best for your home, Aristeaus... for our home... And should you ever return, I swear it will be your home still."
She looked to Revlen once again, and offered a small smile, one torn between the joy she still felt from the news of the day before, and the sadness she now felt; as if a part of her were leaving on that boat as well.

Catlike, smaragdgreen eyes, starring through the leaves of the near forrest, two little flashing stars in the darkness of nature, watching the ship setting off. A gentle, pale hand raising from the leaves, holding a fine crafted elven bow. An arrow, pointing through the green coppice, targeted to the ship heading to a new tomorrow. A swift move, a sharp sound rushing through the sky, and a warm, seductive smile and deep black, blue shimmering hairs vanishing in the thick coppice without letting any track of presence back.
An arrow sticks deep into the planks near Aristeaus and Quinasa. And bound to its shaft, is a little paper with the signs of two scarlet red lips on it
To my beloved Quinasa and Aristeaus
May Siranis kiss bless your both future, and may the birth of your child stay under a good star, my dear Quinasa.
I am very happy for you two, and wish you a wonderful life together.
Aristeaus, my old friend, care good for that beautiful lady, and teach your child what is really important in life, to live your life so that you never have to regret something. I know you may understand this well my friend. I will miss our encounters in the Tavern, the little chats, and your shining, loving eyes filled with so much soulfullness when you were thinking of Quinasa. I am sure one day we will meet again, and than we may again vie with being more charming than the other one. I ever enjoyed your company alot.
Quinasa...I know we had our difficult times with each other in the past...But I want you to know, that I ever liked you, and that I ever were impressed by your person, and full of respect for you. You are an elven sister, and my love and my best wishes will ever be with you on your new path. I hope one day, we may sit together by a tea, speaking about the past, forgetting the difficulties we had, and being merry while you tell me of the wonders of motherhood. I will look forward joyfull to this peacefull and nice encounter.
So I won't say farewell to you two, but just a good bye. And I wish you happiness and peace, until we meet again one day.
May the five be with you all the time, and May Sirani hold your both love in her gentle embrace.
Sincerly,
~Shandariel~

He was actually buying him a drink? He knew something had to be up. For years it seemed they would end their conversations with Aristeaus promising a drink later, though it never really came until yesterday.
Fooser sat casually on a long stretch of beach along the coast of Gobaith, the waves coming in, falling a couple feet short of reaching him, a bottle in one hand, a pipe in the other. A child, eh? Great news indeed, hopefully the memory of last time would not loom over them in such a good time.
He still remembered many years back, when Aristeaus told him about the rebuilding of the north. Pulled him away from smoking sibanac and getting thrown in jail for protesting the rulers of a town he couldn't step into. "Varshikar" it was called later. Most of the people from back then were gone now.
A lot had changed since then, except the sibanac and alcohol, he guessed. Even though it was just two people leaving from an isle full of many races, people, and settlements, it would feel a lot more empty. But he would go on as always, and he knew the pair would as well.
He watched the waves go in and out, wondering if they had found their destination yet. Perhaps not, it hadn't been that long yet. Tomorrow, just like the waves, would come in, and who knows what it will bring?
