A Note to Troll`s Bane
Ladies and Gentlemen, Citizens of Troll´s Bane.
My name is Lorian MacGintish and i am builder of serval houses of Gobaith and other isles. In this position the dwarf "Garon Goldhand" ordered me to build a house next to your town. The Building Area is located in the east of your town, on the border to the Copper Mountains and the building process allready started.
But now i got confused by the words of my costumer. He told me, that your town does not allow him to finish his building in which he wants to work in future.
Please, ladies and gentlemen, tell me, what is going on here? Lots of money and material is ready payed. Why this town removed the contracts? What are the reasons for it? My dwarvish costumer does not know it. He is angry and become angry too if i have to listen him the whole day when he wants his "right" or his money and material back from me.
So, why the contracts are broken? Do i have to remove the ready made constructions? Who pays me for that?

It seems Governeur Valentine terminated the contracts. Why can't I tell you since he hasn't mentioned any reasons for that doing. So it is his duty to discuss with you the further steps. You should try and speak with him about this.
I am sorry for Mister Goldhands inconvenience.

Mister Goldhands broke the agreement of his contract I belive, and THEN he forged the governers signature, Thus the governer decided to cancel the agreement.Michael Zanar wrote:I have spoken to you about this matter Garon. You have forged my signature and edited a legel contract. Verbally I had told you that there would be no regular taxes. Nothing about occasional taxes. Therefore there is no legel binding agreement through this. The land is hereby seized by the Goverment of Trolls Bane and the contract terminated.
Constantine Valentine

Mister Valentine, Governor of Troll's Bane.
Good to can read someting of you to this topic. I waited for a more detailed statement but okay, so let me begin if you do not want:
Of course my costumer told me what happened, but he can not believe the results on it. My costumer told me, that he had spoken with you about the "taxes". He told me, that he was debating with you about them and that you both agreed, that Troll's Bane does not want to take taxes from his building. He disagree in the point, that he added points to the contract which you do not wanted. Everything was dealed with you i said to me.
After he had spoken to me, i searched for the original contract which was removed later. And I also searched for the laws of the town.
But let me write down the words of the contract at first:
At first i found out, that this contract is against the general law of Troll's Bane. There is a rule, that only citizens of the town can build new houses in the area of the town. Garon Goldhand is no citizen. So, what stays above of what? The contract or the law?
I could agree with the signers of the contract, that the document stays outside of the law. It is a contract to solve a conflict which could be there if the contract would not be there...
But i also could agree with the other option, that noone, the governor too, has no right to sell land of the town without to ask his citizens.
Something more is written down in the text of the contract:
If my costumer faked your signature or not - my costumer said he did not - and if you agreed with the fall of all taxes against the building - mister Goldhand says, you did - if all of this would be true, it would not change anything with the contract. The contract would be active, not removed.
The contract only can be removed if any point of the given conditions would be true.
So i have to ask the ruler of Troll's Bane. Did Garon sold his land? It is given away, traded? Lost in a bet? Or he did not payed the taxes which do you wanted?

But let me write down the words of the contract at first:
The town of Trollsbane hereby recognizes Garon Goldhand as the rightful owner of a small piece of land to the east of town. The owner of this property can use it as they wish, and make laws and restrictions regarding it. Though these restrictions cannot go directly against town law.
This contract may never ever be terminated unless the area is sold, given away, traded, lost in a bet, the owner refuses to pay the occasional taxes.
Signed,
Garon Goldhand, Owner of the land.
Constantine Valentine, Governor of Trolls Bane.

If i would overtake the view of the original signers of the contract - you, the governor of Troll's Bane and my costumer Garon Goldhand - that the contract stays beside of the general laws, these words must be followed! This contract may never ever be terminated unless the area is sold, given away, traded, lost in a bet, the owner refuses to pay the occasional taxes.

Alright. In person I had told Garon that there would no regular tax of 100 coppers a month. I add the occasional taxes to every contract I make so that in time of femine or war I can enforce a tax. If I do not add this to every contract then I and the town of Trolls Bane will not be entitled to enforce taxes at any time.
I had explained this to Garon in doves and seemed that he understood what I was trying to get at. After a few weeks, which at this time I had had no prior problems with Garon he decided to forge my signature and post it on the Town boards. He refused on the idea of there ever being taxes ( which by the way there were going to be any unless I needed to in time war. Which means he refused to pay the taxes which was in the contract.), and he forged my contract. Making me take action by changing the contract and terminating it.

((I'll just use this account for now on since I am never on the other.))

Mister Valentine, Governor of Troll's Bane.
My costumer also told me, that he never arrived anything, where is written down how much he has to pay and when. Maybe you can remember us on the number of coppers and silvers, which he should has to pay.
How he can break the contract if no number of money is spoken out?

Mister Valentine,
This number is very interesting for me. I listen it for the first time. Maybe you and mister Garon Goldhand could come together once more to speak about the money again?
Contracts must be followed. If anyone can not follow the contract which he signs, he should not make any contract in general....

The missing of any new answer also can be an answer. But how i have to interpret it?
Do not let me continue to argue, that this whole story seems to be very corious for me. I do not want to make decisions, which could lead to a bad future for making business with some of my costumers.

Troll's Bane,
Who ever leads you currently, Mister Valentine or anyone other. The leaders should take up this issue again before i have to find a solution myself. Be sure, my solution would not be in interest of anyone who is involved here.
Maybe i should notice something more. I do not wanted. I had the belief, there are still some gentlemen, which can solve it in quiet atmosphere. But i have to do it: There are 2 different versions of the contract. The contract announced by Mister Valentine has a special advantage for his own side. The version of Garon not. Both are signed. What will be the truth? Who faked the contract after it was signed and who tried to get the advantages?
If this town is the lawless place like it seems to be here, where contracts get faked and have no worth, maybe i should warn my next costumers not to invest their money in this territory.
Give real arguements why Garon Goldhand has not to build his house. Make a decision to remove his construction and pay for my work and the materials Mister Goldhand ready has put in the building process.
Or make the decison, so that i can finish the house of Mister Goldhand.
But make a decision!

It is enough Troll's Bane!
People ready start to think about to overtake the building area of my costumer. But the building area north of the Arena is property of Garon Goldhand! If not i want the final decision of the goverment.
If i find no decision, written down and announced in public by the goverment of Trolls Bane, you can be sure, that consequences have to follow.
You have time to the end of the current month Adras!

I apologize for the delay of a desicion and assure you that not everyone in Trollsbane is deaf for your words.
I hope you may forgive us and give us another chance. To solve this situation for both sides fair and cilized, I offer my help as newly announced magistrate. I offer my help to hold court about this matter, and to bring a desicion into this. The court would be hold between Garon Goldhand/Lorian MacGintish, and Governeur Constantine Valentine for the town Trollsbane.
I hope Mister Constantine Valentine may agree to this, or even better, find himself a solution fitting both sides .
With Zhambras blessing,
