oh no... the dark yellow mages of heck!
"evil" guilds are just meaningless...
if you dont like the game, and just want to destroy it....
why do you play in  the first place?
its just plain dumb... most teenagers say "i didnt asked to be born"
but we all say to you and every other "evil" player
"we didnt ask for you to be born... leave us alone you bast*... ehm.... bad players"

leif i have found that most of the "evil" players in illarion say that they are here to add spice to the game and believe that without them the game is boring and at this point i would have to agree, but if we didn't have to deal with them we would have more time to make the game more interesting without senseless violence. what scares me is these people are out walking around.....what happens when the are walking down a crowded street and get bored..... do the throw the first person the see down?.... stab them?....shoot them?....it is a sad affair really *grins slyly* i just hope for their sake i am not the one they decide to push because if provoked i could and would deal severe damage to someone. too bad we can't put concequences in real life for pk's. :) that would be great lol real life violence for violence in a computer game.... maybe my mind is just warped *shrugs* eh, but what're you gonna do?

i dont think we need "evil" people... the game would be much more fun without them...
like f.ex. in my real life... i think my life is more exiting if i had alot of nymphomaniac
woman after me than an "evil" person after me...
no "evil" is better... and if they want to spice someting up, they can try on their dinner...
by the way... i would LOVE to beat up those "evil"persons in rl...
im not strong myself, but i know a guy who is the Norwegian Champion in weightlifting (junior)
so there.... GRRRRRR.... look at my scary friends , all you pest infested parasites!!!

damien: crazy, insane, not right in the head.

leif: lol i am afraid. i have not had much national exposure, but i did take regional heavy weight weightlifting championship easily. i did not try for more than that...maybe i should have. dreams of grandeur in the fighting rings call to me. any fighting ring whether it be sumo, ultimate, wrestling, or whatever.

doesn't get much more off topic than this does it?

Hallo

calm down people

i have no probs with evil beings but evil is not = evil
if someone says my god is Nargùn (or Moshran or..) and is helping the monsters it is ok
but the most so called evil are saying it only to protect thier sensles non-rpg kills

i think to play a evil being is very hard (it is very hard to be very good at it and dont to be a senseless killer)

Hello,

I know a few people that play this game and some of their characters are evil in the game, but they do not randomly kill people.  Evil does not equal killing players, it is more about controlling players and the events that shape the world (so it best suits your own needs).

Maybe I should play an evil character so others can learn the difference between an evil character and a mad man.

Thanks,

Jeanderaux

i belive that true evil players... are those who kill randomly and tries to hack the game
so they can delete it from the servers... then they send real mail-bombs to all
who have played illarion...
evil players are the one's that are annoying... pk's, non-rpg, thiefes, people who goes around
shouts" yo motherfucker wazzup...." and those who are powergamers, just to kill alot of people then, stand near the nearest cross throwing poison/ice and fire fields around it...

those guys are what i hate.... i hate evil people...
evil people are not like modern satanism ( do what you want)
it is more like , "do what you want as long at it is anoying and destructive the"
those who do not do this cant be called evil...
evil are those who kick satan in the nuts when he comes to collect...

"can't be called evil".....

you are talking about "evil players", though I wouldn't call any living human beeing "evil" as this black and white theory doesn't exist but in fantasy and in games. Also I don't remember someone hack the server or sending mailbombs...

the other part are evil CHARACTERS. that's a VERY big difference and you still must call them evil. It could be thieves, assasins, blackmailers or something like that. perhaps fanatic followers of Moshran.

the problem are players who can't realize this ideas of an evil character or more than this: those who use the illusion of an evil character to kill people or do other annoying tings without any connection to real roleplay

An "evil" character with a little bit of intelligence would not really run around and kill people. In fact, he would do all to get some power, and when powerful, enough, try to achieve different goals like : money and power, more money and power... he would hide his crimes, and do all not to be discovered.
I hope that in illarion later will exist some possibilities for example to collect a magic item at the price of releasing hordes of undead (who then walk around and kill people). Evil people would try to get such artifacts, "good" ones would try to guard or replace such artifacts.
Even "evil" characters must not be totally evil. They can be friendly and helpful if it could bring profit. They just won't help ohthers without any profit.
Sure they could have persons to whom even they are loyal (for what reason ever) - noone is totaly good or totally evil. we need no black-and-white-painting for a great roleplay.

"Evil" are those who do anything for profit, AND do anything to hide what they really intend.

Damien's pretty smart,  I completely agree..
and I think theres a difference between a pk idiot who doesnt really care what happens to him in illarion and a character who's actually.. well... evil.
Im gonna poste up part of the definitions for 3 types of evil ppl that I found  :)
There's:

Lawful Evil - These characters believe structure and organization elevate those who deserve to rule. They prefer a clearly defined hierarchy between master and servant. If someone is hurt or suffers because of a law that benefits lawful evil characters, too bad. Lawful evil characters obey laws out of fear of punishment or pride of power. Because they honor any contract or oath they have made, lawful evil characters are very careful about giving their word. Once given, they break their word only if they can find a way to do it legally, within the laws of society.

Neutral Evil: Neutral evil characters are primarily concerned with themselves and their own advancement. Their only interest is in getting ahead. If there is a quick and easy way to gain a profit, whether it be legal, questionable, or obviously illegal, they take advantage of it. Although neutral evil characters do not have money, which makes them quite receptive to bribes.

Chaotic Evil: Chaotic evil characters are motivated by the desire for personal gain and pleasure. The strong have the right to take what they want and the weak are there to be exploited. When chaotic evil characters band together, they are not motivated by a desire to cooperate, but rather to oppose powerful enemies. Such a group can be held together only by a strong leader capable of bullying his underlings into obedience. Since leadership is based on raw power, a leader is likely to be replaced at the first sign of weakness by anyone who can take his position away from him by any method.

I think it makes the game more interesting to have all different types of characters. Not only good ppl.

Hallo

i think we should make a name for the dumb anti-rpg players (the powergamers and pks who r toooo bad to play q3a or ut or if they play cs they r the power campers *g*)

a so called good chars can be a pk too
and not all evil chars kill

it is right a evil player is destroying the game but a player with an evil char is no prob coz he knows to differ from in-game and rl (i hope so *g*)
