A Lonely Birthday...

Galvin Tjime sits on the shore near the farm in Tol Vanima on the 22 of Siros. He sits in the sand, moving his feet around in the sand and water, staring out at the rising sun. He looks over to his right at the small, crude table he has constructed out of some boards and logs, which obviously will not last the day. A small cake sits on top of this table, a stick in the center of the cake with some pine resign at the top burning.
He sighs and stands up, then walks over to the table. "Well, happy ninth birthday Galvin. That's three years now..." Galvin breaks down in tears as he remembers the horrible destruction of his home and the tragic ending of both his mother's and father's lives. About 10 minutes later, after he had recovered from his fit of sadness, he stands up again and blows out the stick.
He then takes a small, wooden knife and cuts a small piece out of the cake, which he quickly devours. "If only all my family were with me right now...mother, father, ...mom, dad." Galvin sighs as he says this, obviously missing both his current, adoptive parents and his biological ones. Galvin sits there the whole day, snacking on cake and staring out at the sun and occasionally looking to the forest and down the path to see if anyone is coming.
