Look everyone...I am dumstruck about the forum treatment.. Not just me..but you a majority of you treat a lot of new bees badly..Let us take Talzion for example. A few days earlier she was posting a lot and having fun with the game..Hadrian insulted in one of her threads and others..and now she probably does not post anymore..and has less motivation to even play illarion. People like me(no pity) the reason I still play illarion,even with you guy's bad treatment, is because I love the concept of the game and that is my motivation. But newbees who are unfamiliar with the idea and concept of the game have no motivation to stay! I mean they sort of started to get Role Play but before they fully started liking it you guys insult them and they just feel the reason to leave.... I think that the General and Off Topic should be removed..Maybe this will stop this..
So, the main point is if you want more players then stop the treatment..and those of us that do not care about more players..SHUT UP AND STAY AWAY FROM NEWBEES..because there are those who want new players

i have to agree with him.

i noticed aswell that some peoples in this forum are very bashing against new players and also others. they attack them alot verbaly and write very polemic.

could it be possible that the forum mods look at those and tell them to stop so? we have mods, and it would be nice if they could act by such polemic and bashing posts.

I saw such behaviour recently especially by Hadrian, alex and Returner. But there are also more who really write in an aggressive style against others. and i dont mean bitching or moaning. i mean really stuff like "you stink, go away, kill yourself" and more.

that has to stop, and the mods should act more often on such stuff. or they wont stop on their own.

We have 6245 registered users, in this forum and around three four actual adminstrators..even if half the users were spam that leave us around 3000 and these adminstrators they cannot log on all the time.
We need more adminstrators..
I am not complaining about the GMS or anything but still the forum's moderating team is not exactly great...A lot of the admins and mods are GMS or Devs so they cannot commit to the forums and their other job..So perhaps we can have recruitment?

It is a llama... and it looks nothing like a horse... Trust me, I have seen both and have pet a horse at the Ohio Renessance Festival. Plus one of our clarinet players works with llamas.

I know you don't like how people act towards you, but yah want to know something. I was bullied through elementry school and middle school, then learned in highschool that the best way to deal with them is to not give them what they want. I.E. Stop bitching about it when they speak to you. Don't reply to them. Ignore it. I don't know how many ways I have to tell this to you to get you to listen.

As for helping newbies (I don't think we have any new bees here), many do their best. But when someone comes in and the first thing they type is LOL and then ctrl click you. No way am I helping them. I attack back and tell them to back off. And it they don't listen and back off, they are deffiniately a Noob. I yell at them to read the manual. I do my best to help as I remember when I first came to this game. But I can tell you, I read the manual before I came in, and I didn't ctrl click anyone.

Even if people don't like the way he posts, the way it is expressed here is not much better. If he annoyes you, do what I do and just don't read what he posts. Or read it, leave the pc for five minutes and reply once you've calmed down.
The treatment some people here recieve is a shame for the community.

I have to agree with swish too.. but as Dantagon said..
There are new players who don't get the game, but do their best to know and respect the rules, and others who just go around bitching and shit.

Now in your case, swish. I've known you for a very little time IG, but I can still tell what your problem is.
You wanna get involved in -everything-.
Try not to do that, try not to show your boobs to everyone.
I know it can feel cool being popular and stuff, but trust me, it isn't.
I'm telling you this because I know about it.
When I first joined in, with Karl Salameh, I was all "I wanna be a goodie, I wanna fight evil, bla bla bla" and my char got popular quite fast, and it became annoying and confusing.
Then I created Johnny Lant, it was waaay more fun than Karl Salameh.
I was discrete, I wouldn't get involved in everything that happens, when there was a show (e.g: 2 chars fighting, swearing, etc..) I would stand back and watch, -SOMETIMES- get involved, but not often, and I would sometimes start my own shows, but not always get involved in everything.

If you want a real advice, create a new char, don't tell anyone it's yours, and just play along with everyone, nicely, and DISCRETELY, try talking less, try using the space bar rather than the enter key..

I know you like this game a lot, and I understand why. But trust me, just don't try getting your name up in the known list, it won't help.

You can still get everyone to know you without posting 5 threads a day in each board. With time, people will start noticing you, etc..

So yeah, try not making so much noise and I'm pretty sure you'll be fine.

I said this several times in the past, because it is true.
People seem to be unable to just leave things they don't like alone.
People seem to be unable to understand that their personal opinion to some topics are completely uninteresting.
People mostly post banal things, at least most people in this community.

So I sign what Adano said. Don't always reply. If you don't like a topic, don't post. Some people here reply in *every* topic. I really don't know why. Is it the struggle for attention? Is it boredom? Whatever it is, it is annoying and useless.

Another thing I noticed is that only certain people reply to actually intelligent stuff that is posted (maybe because only a few are intelligent enough? I hope not...), like Adanos words here. That is sad. And that is why we have about 80% trash in this forum by now.

Swish; we don't treat players badly. Talzion was called hawt repeatedly and the only digs we had were the account was remade, and we didn't even make a big deal of it. Just because we insult you doesn't mean we dislike everyone.

Kevin, considering everyone is out skillgaining, I never find anyone to rp with. What do you think I do all day? Teach noobs how to play; and I'm not nasty to them either. About quarter of my whole chat log is noob teaching. Swish only takes my insults because he annoys the hell out of me; I don't mind other noobs.

If you go ahead and quote the magic academy debate; if a noob attacks me for not powergaming; I'm not just going to sit around doing nothing, am I? I treat new players fine.

Swish has been here nearly 8 months. And by "The other one" if you mean SarahPhoenix, all I said was "You're Talzion" which she is. And if you mean Cuthalion, he targeted me for not powergaming; I'd been nice to him previously and I only took one dig at him.

Not 8 months, can't be that long yet.
And still, you're here for over a year, and it took you about a year to lose some of the ignorance and irritating behavior, even though you're still annoying, and some times worse than Swish.
And Alex, you said that about Talzion yes, but the way you write it down is just horrible.

Yes "We know you're Talzion; don't take us for idiots" is so horrible; I just have pride. And he's 6-8 months. I think 7 or 8.

edited because i felt this was better: It takes a skilled person to put in just the right amount of tongue and cheek insult in a thread about treating others better on the forums to incite an arguement, you do this task admirable as always.
