I think smiths should be able to repair weapons and make them better...or can they already do it? I am not a smith and do not know.

There will be an update of the crafting system soon. Including the possibility to repair.

Magic things could probably only be repaired by grandmaster blacksmiths anyway. Also what Hu said.

I don't think many people will like if magical weapons are removed. Then again, maybe to make things more interesting, they could give mages the ability to enchant. A smith can go to a mage to enchant a weapon (a skill of course), and then they can sell it to people. That might make things more interesting.

I think smith should have runesmith ability instead of going to mages to get it done.

How would that be done though without crossing the border's of reality? >.>

well if a mage cast an enchate spell on the wepon wouldnt ware off after awhile just like a poison spell or wall spell

It could be perminate. I don't see why not.

So their poison spell should be perment???
A spell effects only last for so long dont they so why should enchatment be any different.
I think a magical stone is needed to make the wepon fully enchated

That is also an idea. An enchanted stone. The thing is they would have to code that in as well. Lots of work, but may be well worth it in the end. I'd like to see them keep magic weapons though. I would hate to see them go.

Would be a good idea that a enchant or "regalia" wears off or breaks after so much usage. Also that enchants correspond with different magic skills, druidry, and preists. example:druids could apply varying types of poisons, ones that drain health, ones that stun, ones that drain mana. Mages could apply varying elemental (ice/fire/water/wind) enchants, preists could enchant with life stealing or just healing on the user. You could make weapons with enchants degrade alot faster (the extra energy weakens the litteral metal as iron and magic don't seem to mix) or the enchantment wears off.

preists could enchant with life stealing or just healing on the user
its priests. and i suggest also making "holy weapons" which hurt demons and undeads much more through its power

I wouldn't agree on making demons weaker through use of holy weapons, undead yes. Demons are ment to be uber and difficult to defeat, and the ones that were thrown at us during the Negros quest we not that horrible, making them weaker wouldn't be good for the game IMO.

Garret, those demons in the negros quest were the weakest ones

. and there were also many mages taking much health of them down by spells. try defeating one alone or with someone other. or try one of the stronger demons

Well that is the point, I would hope that no one no matter how much excellent weapons and items would ever be able to defeat a demon alone or even with 2 people or 3 people. A holy item would change this would it not?

Why did I hear these before? Gee, it's just like other RP I have played. Flame sword, holy armors, poison daggers... Not I complain or object. Just this kinds of suggestions remind me of that.

There are evil preists also, not only "holy preists".

Holy/Unholy Items would require an alignment system to be implemented. Else, how is an item meant to know whether you RP a good person or a bad person?
I think magical items should require a mage/magic user to enchant them.

Me to, otherwise any blacksmith could make his magic weapons without talking to any mage.
It stimulates roleplay.

Objection. Mages are powerful enough in-game already and now give them chance to exchant weapons? Give me one good reason that blacksmith can not forge a magical weapon if they use material that have magical properties in nature.
I am alright with if magic stones(Rare, find in mine or better find in some dead magical creature) or what need to make magical weapon. RP? Because magical = "mage"? I don't see a carpenter can saw everything with wooden legs.
I agree magical weapon and armors shouldn't make so easy in current crafting system.

Yes, I agree maybe they should be made a little harder. At the moment you can make them before you can make any type of armour other than chainmail. It doesn't make sense, I agree.

Mages arn't that powerfull.
And by help rp I mean force smiths to talk to some others, establish connections and such. So they don't just mine and smith all day, and are forced to rp a bit more.

I also like the blacksmith rune idea.

Mages where meant to be a bit more powerfull and special, Nitram told me that quite long ago.
Not everyone can become a good mage, stat wise and rp wise.
I'm sure the people who sit on their ass and say nothing, and #me nothing at all during class wouldn't get to far.
With magic as it is now is already far weaker than originaly intended I think.

The only possible way to do it properly is to have GMs be the teachers again. This wont happen I dont think because of lack of interest by nearly all parties to change it again.
