The Order of the Light
Ordered by our Holy Emperor, Alekatius Invanasius Rex, we form this guild, as a branch of the Order of the Light, to act as a permanent rally of order and justice in these forsaken lands. We come as a divine shield to defend the innocents of this island, and as a flaming sword to purge all the wickedness and coruption that inhabit it. Those that seek redemption, redeemed they shall be; the damned shall be damned forever.
I hereby place a call, upon all of those that want only justice and freedom to inhabit this land, to come and join our ranks, to receive the training necesarely to mantain and if needed, enforce, these principles. With honor I shall raise you to be the bearers of truth, the deliverers of justice and the keepers of freedom in these troubled times.
We are organised in two branches:
-The Legion, which is the main army of Salkamar
-The Order, which is the elite army of Salkamar, composed from:
-->The Shield of Zhambra
-->The Priesthood
To join The Shield of Zhambra, one must first serve a few years in the Legion, where he/she will learn everything that a honorable warrior needs to know.

Rank explanation:
--The Phalanx are treated like Optios. Usually, they are added to the group, as "partner" for the Optio. Or can be used instead of Optios sometimes.
--The Paladin equals the rank of a Centurio. Can be ordered to be a "partner" of the Centurio, or put in charge instead of a Centurio sometimes.
--A High Paladin can be set to duty as a partner of, or in rare cases instead of a Primus.

Rules, Principles and Conditions for joining
-The right to accept or decline a applience to this guild, as well as the right to promote, demote or remove a member, is compleately reserved to the High Paladins or equivalent and higher autority. They are entitled to accept only the ones that they see fit.
-In order to join this guild, one must swear ethernal loyalty to the Salkamaerian Emperor. If the person is allready under the oath to another guild, he/she won't be accepted unless released of the oath by the master of the guild in question. Betrayal shall be severely punished.
-The persons that were or are criminals, also the ones that had or have any kind of affiliations with a criminal guild, won't be accepted.
-The ones that practice magic, in any form whatsoever, won't be allowed to join The Shield of Zhambra, but he/she may choose to remain in The Legion and obtain high ranks if earned.
-Every member is obligated to obey the orders of the high ranks and report them to the higher autority when received. This shall ensure that no abusses will take place.
-Every memeber is urged to treat with the maximal respect every member of this guild, as well as never to emberass the brotherhood with his/her actions. The members are obligated to adress to the higher ranks as "Sir" and the High Paladins or equivalent and higher ranks, as "Lord" or "Sire".
-Any unrest within the guild, as well as any captured criminal, shall be investigated and judged by the High Paladins or equivalent and higher autority.
-The high ranks have the right to enforce discipline within the ranks if necesarely, but with the condition to report to the higher autorities.
-Every member is obligated to report to the High Paladins about the progress of their training as well as the progres of the given task (if any).
-People joining the brotherhood without military service before, are called "Recruits".
-To advance from the rank of "Recruit", one must show that he/she posesses moderate close combat skills (sword, axe or mace), moderate skill in using a shield, basic knowledge of combat strategies and tactical combat, as well as a basic skill in handeling a bow or crossbow.
-To become a Phalanx of The Shield of Zhambra, a person must have served a few years as an Optio. That does not mean that a Phalanx is counted as better than an Optio concerning the rank : There can also be Optios who served for many years without any intention on joining the Paladin Order.
