I'm like, completely new to this game, could anyone help me ingame to give me some tip's on like, how to learn basic magic? or how to get rich?

I don't know, I just need like, someone, THERE to help me.

Edit: Oh, also, my ingame name is Sapherious

This isn't runescape; you don't pay people to tell you ooc things. And also, if you wanted to get rich; paying handsomely wouldn't help. And 250 coppers is hardly paying handsomely. I'm afraid magic takes a long time and a lot of rp to learn. My character took 4 years just to learn a basic illusion so if you want a game to get rich and blast your opponents on; this probably isn't the game for you.

just ask someone ingame or atleast read the manual first, browse through a few forums and ask ingame, where you can learn magic and so on. it takes some time, everything here does. but we do not concentrate on gaining skill but more on roleplaying.

Yes but don't go round saying "Can you teach me magic?" "Can you teach me magic?" "Do you know where a magic teacher is?" "Do you know magic?" "Where do I learn magic?" "I'm a battle mage, where do I learn magic?" "How do I do magic?" "Do you know someone who would teach me magic?" "Where can I find a magic teacher?"

I get this *ALL* the time and it annoys me SO MUCH.

I always teach noobs because nowadays everyone else is off powergaming so I've got nothing better to do. And hopefully I can convince them to dislike skills while they're at it

That's impossible, all you're learnign is 'library research skill' thats all... it'll help you find and read books...

To learn magic, you need to contact a school of magic

i was ASKING for help, no one bother's to help me in game because they all hate me, they dont listen to me, and i ask here and i get the same reaction, so i either get two choices

1: quit game
2: Do it AAAALLLL on my own.

See where im getting at?

Edit: Here i am, in the libary thinking that if i read book's i might learn something, from reading the reactions i am ovbiously stupid sorry for wasting your time.

Maybe if you ask around, in character, to some person about how to learn magic you might learn more quickly.

make sure you know the difference between OOC and IC.

Illarion isn't a game which you can become hyper-good by working things out on your own, ask around...

Unrelated to your current problem, I have to ask you not to put the things you did into your "prefix" and "suffix" fields.

I just deleted the entries.

These are supposed to be used for titles like "Lord" or "... the jester".

Edit: Back on subject, I'm sorry for being a total complete noob, but it's ovbious that no one really want's to help me untill I make myself noticable.
So, which is why i've requested to join the Academy of Magic, and when I'm accepted, I'm going to do what you all have not done, I'm going to actually help Noob's. Not flame them which is what im going through right now in game.

Well, from your display picture, i'm guessing you're a lizard...

Look around and find another lizard, the lizardfolk are a very tight-knit community, they'll help with pretty much anything. Of course, this help will only be Incharacter information...

If you want someoen to talk to RE: OOC items, add someone to MSN or summat and ask away...

All you a**holes out there smile off. This character has very good rp for a beginned and learns things very fast. A talented individual. I met the lizard in the library and showed her how to make leather shoes. She knew how to do proper #me's and knew the difference between ooc and ic for the most part. Only one or two mistakes. That is great. And you are not trying to be pushed away. Alexrose 12345678910 is an extreme jacka** who likes to cause problems. Ignore him. I think you have great ptentila in this game and you better keep playing or I will break your legs.
