Nicolai arrived on Gobaith after many months of traveling aboard ships. Tired, he snarted North sluggishly.
He carried nothing but the clothes on his back, and the bag slung over his shoulder.
As he pressed on, his slow pace made it possible for him to take in his new surroundings.
Grinning, a sleugh of thoughts ran through his mind. Oddly enough,
They weren't of the scenery, but instead of routes.
Routes he could take in case he needed to. It was just how his mind worked.
Finally he arrived to a fork in the road. He sidestepped and looked over the sign.
It read, "North - Trollsbane" He rubbed over his chin and nodded.
He headed down the road, and came upon the gates of the City.
He looked around a moment, astonished and lost.
He approached an elven man, he would get directions to the Inn from him.
As he approached, the Elf turned about and quickly drew a weapon.
Reacting, Nicolai drew a dagger and jammed it into the Elf's chest.
The Elf's knees buckled and he feel to the ground. He managed to whisper.
"Damn lad.. never seen an Elf put away his weapon..." And he let out a last breathe.
Nicolai was back to his old ways, his childhood burning within him again like a newly ignited fire.
He turned the Elf over a drug him away, towards the forests he passed to the South. Leaving no traces but a long, thick stream of blood...
