Something I have been curious about for a while and am to lazy to search to see if there has been a previous post concerning this issue but, why is there miner's lag? I mean that if you mine and mine a lot you get unstable connection notice and you get kicked. What is the reason for this?

BEcause when you click too many times it makes too many commands and it fucks up, just dont click over 15 times at once.

What do you mean whats the reason? So you can't get 30 ores in 1 min. There has to be a delay or you could get ores rediculously fast.

Time delayed actions like the current magic spells will come with the next major update of the crafting system.

Mining uses an outdated method to delay the actions of characters.

I just click a bunch of times and then go take a piss, period.
It has some nice things to it.
Without it people'd walk around tossing 250 coal out infront of them and end up pwning the market cause they pg.

It has also been reported that several people mining within hearing range will cause mining to slow down for each of them.

Theres no time delay for lumberjacking.

They aren't talking about time delay but the lag that happens when several chars work within hearing range. Which could have something to do with either the client or the server handling sound effects.

I have never experienced it, but the client can play any number of sound effects in parallel. But they all need to be started and they all need a hefty amount of memory, that could cause some machines to start swapping.

We are currently shortening the sounds to help with that problem.

If you play with the offline version you don't get kicked.
