Bad Performance

From day one I have had problems with this game. It is getting very discouraging. I tried to play today but it's so choppy and it keeps freezing up or lagging. I changed the frame rate to 11 in hopes it'd run a bit better.. I really wanted to participate in the quest or whatever but I cant even get to TB cause it keeps freezing. What can I do to make it perform better? My connection isnt that bad and my ram is kinda low but it should work fine with this. I also had problems connecting to the forum earlier to post this. This is frustrating. I do want to play, but at this rate.. it looks doubtful. Unless something can be done and if not, I'm afraid I just cant play anymore.

That was the server today. A huge armount of players where hopping around on the map. And this was slightly to much for the server.

To get rid of those players, the server stated to lag ;)

Try it again later. I'm sure it will run better.

Don't worry about it; it happened to everyone.

Have you already tried setting the special option "reduced Graphics" in the client?

What is your system configuration?

yes, everything is set to the lowest. 16 bit, reduced graphics. music of, only sounds on..

Windows:
Intel Pentium 4 CPU, 1500MHz 1.49 GHz, 256 MB of RAM | ATI RADEON 9250 + 128 MB | No music, low graphics, wide open west is ISP but I hear bandwith could be limited, cause instability.. but, I've been able to play other games with very little problems other than dcing sometimes.

Your machine should have more than enough power.

Please try:
- set colors back to 32, that is faster!
- make sure you have the latest graphics drivers, your card may be running in software mode for some reason. Look for openGL support, dirextX does not help
- try turning sound effects off, whether that changes anything
