Cannot recieved confirmation key for account

Should be obvious what I am asking here. Didn't see any other topics like this, though I didn't look too deep. I tried getting the confirmation resent to my e-mail, which is valid (I can resend my password), but it doesn't go through. Maybe I'm being impatient, but it doesn't seem it would take very long.
I'm quite attatched to the account name "Kirby", and would rather have that name than any substitute I can think of. Otherwise I would just make another account. Stubborn me.
I'm too new to know who to ask for help, or if this problem can be fixed. So, any input?
EDIT: I understand in 24 hours the account does not confirm, if this is the case, can I re-apply for the account?

Do you have any junk-mail filters? It could be that.

An account Kirby does exist but there is no char created yet.

Is there any way a GM could delete the account so I can re-make it?
If that's not possible, any way of "fixing the link," if that be the problem, would also remedy the problem.

You don't need to remake your account. You CAN get your account deleted but that isn't nessasary. The only thing I can imagine you would want to remake is your character. But you can deal with that on your own. By going to the ACCOUNT section of the website, you can delete your character on your own and OR make a new character if your so inclined. Keep in mind the name rules, I personally don't have a problem with Kirby but the attitude around the community of Illarion of late is really "Burn anyone who has any sort of name I don't understand or like".

Just for the record, your accoutn name has no link to your character's names.
No-one will ever see the account name, and you'll only enter it in in order to change stuff about your characters (directly I mean)

I figured this much so far: When I got the account, the e-mail I had (yahoo) was frozen from inactivity, meaning the initial confirmation letter was never sent. However, after realizing, I activated the e-mail, and it works for the account EXCEPT FOR resending the confirmation mail.
I believe the link to "re-send confirmation e-mail" is broken. If this can be fixed, that would solve my problem.
If not, I would like to delete my account, if possible. Am I able to delete it myself, or do I need a GM?
*I know the account name and character names are in no way related. This is only about my account.
EDIT: The account has not expired in the 24 hour period. It exists, but still has not yet been confirmed. I cannot login.
