So it had come to this. Cawdor and Avalyon, his trusted friends, had stabbed William in the back. Many emotions ran through his head but the biggest one was revenge. He was going to make it perfectly clear publicly how corrupt they had become. First he accused them in every little thing on their board and spread slander. But that was only the beginning. There would be huge consequences for doing what they did...

Dominic read the boards in disbelief. He knew that Avalyon was with the Temple.. and Cawdor could be very unfriendly, but he had never expected this. Avalyon had seemed harmless.. a little weak.. and Cawdor had always disliked him.. and he Cawdor. Now, what they had to done to William was too much to take. Something had to be done, and ideas were already forming in his mind..

by Avalyon el'Hattarr
Avalyon knew that he did the right thing... He did what he must to protect his people, to protect the future of Caelum. He knew that William would only make people think that Caelum is a joke.
In his head only one thought was floating: " William is not fit to rule "

"Dominic." William grins, "What shall we do first. I'd suggest revealing they're with the cult. They're gonna pay for this. Hmm they said I was "Too young to rule" but they'll see just how old you have to be to wreak destruction..."

He pulled up his cloak and his eyes glinted maliciously. He was back in his evil state of mind again, but this time the consequences were going to be much, much worse.

He didn't want to be rash so he went to the top of the guardhouse and played his lute. A million thoughts were running through his head. He finally came to the decision: He was right, Cawdor the cultist was going to make the citizens suffer and that he was going to do something about it.

He had made Caelum. He had dedicated his life to it. Without him Caelum wouldn't exist and a pitiful prat of an elf ruined all of this because he himself had given him a title. He hated Avalyon and Cawdor to the bone and he wasn't just going to sit around and let them ruin the town.

To

Sir William Elderberry

dear sir,

you mentioned being backstabbed.
could you be more specific? i would like to know, what did upset you.

even as a simple citizen, i am interested in the doings of the greenbriar.
hence my curiosity.

(( I didn't say that; I emoted but whatever))

Korm,

Yes I mentioned being backstabbed. This is how it went.

Cawdor recruits an amount of new members into Caelum that do not know me and trust him.
Avalyon starts a vote saying that there should be only one ruler of Caelum.
The town votes.
The majority of the town are Cawdor's little group.
Cawdor wins (This hasn't happened yet)
William Elderberry no longer a Lord.
Avalyon and Cawdor both rule over Caelum with their blackstones rammed in their chests in their reign of terror in which they'll have Nalzaxx over frequently for tea parties as they try and dominate Briar then the rest of the world.

Good eh?

Sitting by a camp fire in the lands of Kallahorn Stephen Rothman reads a small note he had recieved once, twice and three times just to let it sink it. He calmly drank his water from the golden goblet. Thoughts raced through the man's mind. Cawdor was with the temple, this was possible, he already knew Avalyon had sold his soul, the foolish elf. If this was true Caelum may very well turn into another great power, Stephen could not allow Caelum to become a power led by two soulless beings. He had made his first mistake with the temple by assuming they would remain isolated in their beliefs, he would not believe Caelum would remain isolated any longer. If he did not act, they would grow, their influence would spread and again the island would be on the brink of collapsing.

Stephen drained his goblet, put away his letter and arose from camp fire now turning to embers. It was time for Stephen Rothman to deal with the Caelum situation.

Dominic laughs. "We COULD do that.. but perhaps after you have kicked them from Caelum.. After all, you do rule now, according to Avalyon and his stupid plans.. Everyone will find out anyway when they go running to Nalzaxx."

((ah! so writing kursiv ist emoting. tomorrow i will know that the second day))

dear sir william,

to me it will seem, that you dont have been backstabbed.
You've been frontstabbed! right between the open eyes!

that elf, you two Sirs brought to the briar, never made any serious atempts, to hide his favour for the dark forces.

you, and sir Cawdor are and were just needed to give him a shortcut to power.

so what is new? nothing. you just woke up.

wellcome to the world of realists.

Cawdor is with the cult as well.

Avalyon sits on a table in the library of the Temple. He reads a book but his thoughts are far away. He thinks of Caelum, of William and Cawdor.
How did this came to happen? One minute we were all friends, next we are mortal enemies. But no! There must be no regret! If William remains Lord of Caelum, he will doom us all... even if he doesn't want that. Or does he?

William had had enough. He no longer cared for the single minded rulers and decided on a boycott. He contacted the existing members.

I don't think that this new town should be treaten with hostility..

we must not see them as a foe because they did nothing to us.

We have no right to treat them with hostility, even if they wrongfully claimed the land.

They maybe criminals, but even criminals should be treaten fairily ...

Yes, they have take our lands but that's no reason to start a bloodshead.

I, Avalyon el'Hattarr, Head of Senate in the town of Caelum, nominate myself as the forth council member of the country of Briar

.....

"sir" Avalyon,

above some of your own writings on this board, i kept.

they clearly show, that you allways advocated the cause of Nalzaxx.

you did not offend me personally, you just sold out the hamlet of briar and the future of caelum.

but i ask you.. please do not judge me, because you don't know what is truely happening in Caelum.

yes, i know what is happenign in caelum. - nothing. because it does not exist.

what i dont know, is what is going on in your real home town, Hellbriar, below the vulcano.

yes, you were voted for by part of the people. by the other slaves of those crawly things under the mountain.
but you should not pretend, to talk for living and working inhabitants of the former Green Briar.

to the governer of trolls bane

dear Mr. fooser,

this invisible nation, as you please to name it, has been a pleasant home for some of us, over here in badbriar...

respectfull,

Magnus was with Cawdor since Stephen forced the Lord of Caelum to come with him.
And now, some hours after that, he sits some metre away observing Cawdod tied against the tree by Rothman and thinks what he should do.
Sometimes he gazes to Amras who came after Magnus contacted him.
He could easily free Cawdor but something holds him back.
Maybe he will know what to do when Will appears.

Thinking these things Magnus sits in the grass holding his axe always observing Cawdor, Rothman or the area arround them.

William smiles to himself. He wasn't taking any crap anymore and he had announced he was leaving Caelum. Had he been there to see Cawdor tied to the tree he would have laughed in his face but he didn't have the good fortune. He didn't know about the tree. He wouldn't care about the tree; maybe find it a little amusing. His revenge would be much sweeter. He posted a letter to his "Friends and loved ones" and left Caelum. After all this time, he had thought he had fixed his life and it was finally good again. This hadn't lasted long and he was feeling dead inside again; the only thing stopping him from destroying himself was his close friends and Karen.
