Duke the Newbie

Greetings! With Dukaron I've created my first char and I would say it was somer kind of extra-newbie-style. So traveld a lot around "the map" and find myself arriving in a small place where they called me, how I traveled all this way from trolls bane to that place without a teleporter. Well, I know that "By my own feet" is not the best rpg-like awnser.

So 1: whats about the possible distances a char can move on the map?whats realistic in roleplay?

2: Is there a problem with my english? It's not so good, so maybe I can play a guy who predominantly speaks the "old language (german)".
My second hero I wanna start with is Dardaron a "ranger". Maybe it's okay if he has some problems with the "new language", as I have in reallife?

1. The island is still somewhat small. Traveling to towns could be considered an event set out for a day or so.

2. You seem well versed in english to me.

You seem to speak english well enough, but you can get by by just speaking german IG, if that is easiest for you

On my old char, Johnny Lant, When I would walk from a town to the other, I would roleplay being "exhausted", "tired", "sweaty", etc.. But that's because he was a child carrying quite a load of equipment.

Now if you're a farmer, carrying a small hatchet, walking from Troll's Bane to the farmer's union... You shouldn't get tired.
If you're a farmer, carrying five bags of flour from Elisa's shop to the hospital for instance, you should roleplay being tired too.

Nothing is "impossible"... You can make your way from Green Briar to Toll Vanima.. just play that you're tired, and you had provisions.. stopped on your way once or twice by a lake to relax under the shade of a tree.. (That's especially nice if someone's doing the trip with you.)

Oh and, I couldn't know you had difficulty in english unless you told us... Your english is near perfect..
And it gives you a big advantage to speak both German and English in game.. Makes your character seem very wise ;-)

Welcome abroad..

2) Your english is very good by comparision.

You dont have to RP having problems, german speakers make mistakes as well, unless you ACTIVLY destroy english on purpose... no-one will notice

Alex, you're trying to get everyone to have a bad impression on you? Even newcomers?..
