Suggestion: Place-Particular Items
This suggestion was inspired by PO Dusty, who I have grown to admire (although he had no part in its design...)
The suggestion is simply, that the towns should be given each a form of indipendance, in terms of goods. For example, a specific tree should only grown in Varshikar, or a specific type of fish can only be fished if done close to the shores of Zzyathis.
These special items would be useful to all, for example; certain objects can only be made using the wood of that tree, or if you have exotic tastes for food, you would want to get a bit of meat found only in town X.

This will make the game more fun, since it would allow merchants, a certain rarity to goods; and a closer contact between the governor and the towns; between guilds and individuals.
Large orders for towns would be made, for example; for 100 logs of that wood, or 100 ingots of metal ABC. It would also allow brokers, and merchants. Towns would be in total control of that resource, perhaps making it more expensive at times of great need, creating a 'market' similar to real lyfe ones.

Suggestion: (Static Quest) Artifact Creation
This is a static quest which is sparked off by a GM. A GM chooses a craftsperson who has an amount of skill, and gives him the ability to create an artifact.
The gods (Irmorom probably), have chosen that person and have given him divine inspiration in order to produce an artifact. The Artifact is to be made of special rare materials which the player is expected to obtain himself/herself; including perhaps some items which might be deemed dangerous, and have to be obtained by asking others for example.
Included in this list will be the normal materials required to produce that item, and a number of gems for example.
The quest ends at an altar, where the gods give him the power to actually create the artifact. The player will receive the artifact, and a 'level' of experience (as an added bonus).
Since the GM has to handpick the player to give him the quest, the amount of artifacts around shall be highly limited, moreover, this could be a sort of 'reward' given by the GM on a person s/he deems worthy (for exceptional RP for example).

Properties of an Artifact
An artifact will have a quality rating of 'Artifact', and will never decompose or break; neither will rot cycles effect it.
It will be better than a mundane item of that type
It serves as a mark of status to whoever owns it
It serves as a mark of status to whoever created it, "I am XXXXX, creater of YYYYYYYY"
It doesn't have a normal description, "You see very bad short sword", but rather a name.. "You see (artifact) Wolf-Bite"
There can be good artifacts, and evil artifacts
They can only be destroyed by a loooong quest
Which Items can be artifacts
Of course, not every item makes sense in being an artifact, so it shall be limited to the following items (with suggestion for names):
Bow: Hawk-Eye, Eagle-Shot, Arrow-Singer, Soul-shooter
Sword (Greatsword): Sting, Fang, Blood Drinker, Blade of Souls, Wolf's-Claw
Sword (Shortsword): Raven's Claw, Wolf-Bite
Warhammer: Fist of Irmorom
Staff (Battlestaff)
Staff (Mage's Staff)
Amulate
Ring (Any type)
The others can have random sounding names... (Ylanylore for example).
I know that there isn't anything which can be produced by glass-blowing, or tailoring; but I can't imagine the gods blessign a person in order for him to create an artifact shirt
