Minimums for magic

I've been told by someone that for this game there is a minimum set of attributes that one must have to use magic. If this is true what is the minimum. I would like to know if I need to create a new character.

the absolute minimum is 30 total i believe.

Phew I have 30 exactly. It's really annoying; a year ago when I'd never even played the game yet I didn't give a crap about attributes and just balanced it all out and now it's coming back to haunt me.

30 is fine but anything under 40 and you'll find magic is be beyond rediculously hard. basically all i can say is that if you get to a decent level in magic with lower stats, pray that you manage not to die to often. i suggest if you want to play a magic based character you start off with one who has higher magic stats like an actual mage. unlike the fighting system the magic systems high end standards can make you hate it, if it's your first time through
