Cutting out.. mummies?

I'm not sure.. but.. it seems that.. mummies are really EASILY defeatable using.. scissors. Maybe I'm confusing or miscalculating my hits.. but could someone -averagely- not too strong check it out? Thanks

Actually, I take scissors with me to mummies, so I can get thread off the entrails, entrails is too heavy.
And sometimes I forget to re-equip my axe, and fight them with scissors..
