What server does Illarion run on and if so can i have the web address to the server site?

why do you need the address of the server? the client automatically connects to it.

It's a private server (computer) which is connected to the university LAN.

no i dont. i dont know how to hack and im done with tthe game until a new build any i want to make my own game so i need a server. EAT IT!!!!!!!

It is very hard to find a server for an own game, unless you have someone at hand, who works in a big company which has a strong network connection. Some people offer a free game server hosting, but the hardware is usualy only strong enough for text based games. Graphical games produce too much network traffic and use to much RAM.
The server we are running is a pentium MMX with 233 MHz and 192 MB RAM, 10 GB HD. This is overpowered, concidering the slow network connection which is the real bottleneck. On the free servers you get something like 50 MB Harddisk, 10 MB RAM, 1-2% CPU time.

I have a 800 mhz with 192 MB ram

Not to mention if I was really good at programs "but I am not" I coul connect with the largest network in the world.. but that'd be illegal

Anyhow my offer still stands Bror "If and When" Illarion ever decides to try and get/build/find a server other than the University "from what I remeber reading you only have a few more years left" I can help, let me know.

The whole server and Client uses C++.
The Server is a Mandrake Linux-System that also runs the website (apache server), a database server and the perl scripts
