Suggestion: Corpses

You'll probably all hate this idea. When you die I think as well as your body a corpse should appear. You can access the corpse to steal its items and move it so you can kill someone and lock them up. When you get to the cross you can right click on the cross and either pray to go to your body or pray for a new body, stay at the cross but lose all your items. Maybe bits of this could be axed like moving the corpse but I think it'd make sense if you died when you got ressurected you'd wake up in your corpse. Obviously you'd need a new body if you were in skeleton crypt or something, but the new body would have full health and hunger and mana.

Feedback please.

I love the idea of being able to move it.

After dieing an unrotting 'corpse' will appear on the ground. This way you can move it, as if you were kicking it, to other places. Once the person returns to the Cross the corspe will become 'animate' and have a #me like: "#me begins to stir." A single hit will make them repear as a ghost, without further skill loss, and need to walk back to the cross. This is repeatable as many times as you like. This gives time to lock up a person inside jail, without having to Force RP or bicker in OOC.

Ku's two coppas.

Problem with this is, that you assume being clouded means you were killed instead of heavily injured.. otherwise i'd lyke the idea..

I remember a game called "corpseball" in Runescape. Jennifer loved to play it, hehe. She kneed beside a corpse and said "my husbaaand!", than others came and kicked the corpse around and played "catch it" with her *g*

So you like the idea? And then if you'd been owned by monsters you could just opt for a new body so you don't immediately die again. I just find it a bit silly that the spirit turns into the body rather than returning to the corpse.

Then they could add thievery. You could use it on corpses or on people to steal items. You could practice on bodies then when you get good you could right click on people and try and steal items, getting better items without a message saying you noticed. Noobs to thieving wouldn't find good items on corpses and a message "Someone is robbing you" wouldn't appear or something like that.

More feedback.

If it was a monster kill you will revive once, and if you get knocked out again reapear at the cross.

so you get killed, run to the cross, and you are fully healed and everything?
sounds like a big opening for those people who *from what I hear* die, ressurect, die, ressurect....

I like it...that way if someone dies, people don't walk across the spot like nothing. Maybe if they saw a corpse, they would notice?

Yeah...love it, and finally something I can understand

I said if you chose to lose your old body you'd lose the items on your body but get full health, but if you got ressurected normally you'd appear in your old body with all your items but your health'd be gone.

Then if you killed someone you could do away with the corpse etc. and it'd make for some good rp.

"Yes sir mr hafling, this will make your fieldds more fertile"

I love the idea. the main problem however is, that you're DEAD. So perma-kills turn rather useless, and hard to RP.

Did the gods deny your new body or something? Its not the glourious way to go...

The gods may choose not to revive you when they feel you're ready for the afterlife ;)

i don't like the idea about a new body.. I like mine just fine :)
No really.. if you gain a new body, only makes things harder - change of char picture, change of char description, the people need to rp that they don't recognize you no more...

don't know... i'm not crazy about this idea :P

No!

I mean a new body as in it's exactly like your old body!

It's just if your old body is rotting in a forest full of wolves you can get a replacement and your old one disappears and you lose your stuff on your old body; if however you die in town you may as well ressurect in your body. New body is if your old body will get killed as soon as you go to it.

I some what like the idea. You could work the body like a container such as the depot or a bag to take or place items.

But you have to have somewhat ability of strength to carry it, say... 14 at the least.

This idea is as old as Illarion is. Was proposed many times. We thought about many times.

May something like this well be developed somewhen, maybe not. I don't know.
