Pking

I was just pked with no other real Rp reason other than me getting clouded. I was in Varshikar and the onyl act of violance Gort had done was #me rams into Taylor's back. Samantha killed me with two spells on Taylor's word. I was then given my things back. All that happened was I lost skill. I hate to play with certain players that will only ctrl-click or cast on other chars. I belive this is bad rp and should be against the rules. Lately I have been going out of my way to rp fights. I think a rp fight is more fun to watch, do, and just be apart of. I know im just pissing and moaning but it needs to be said. I didn't even have a chance to rp being burnt here or hurt. The spells were casted one after another. All I ask is that people STOP doing this.

Because patric is good at pking on all his characters and because you play a bad guy (as well as the magic still be unbalanced it seems, strong spells like that are supposed to take time to do again). Report which spell and maybe nitram can lengthen the amount of time the spell took (assuming it was infact machine gunned as you describe )

Letme see, you threaten him to kill him, you pushed him when he was handling a criminal on his land, and you #med how you motioned into Samanthas direction after he told her to use her magic. of course you ignored half a dozen warnings before to leave or let it be.

Your own failure when she pwnes you than *sighs*. a mage can't "rp fights" like a warrior.

And the spell took 2 seconds to cast, Sam

Aren't they supposed to take 7 lol? 2 seconds, isnt that basically how fast you can select the runes for the spell in the first place?

Opening the book, clicking the spell, clicking the target, two seconds casting time.

That takes long enough

There was no playerkilling. Just a warrior who gets angry when he is stupid enough to behave in a way he gets pwned by an archmistress <_<

Again, if she tells you to leave, several times, and if you behave bully, and threat others infront of her, and than motion into her direction after she got told to use magic, than don't wonder when she really does so!

The spell of same strenght in ice version takes 7 seconds, I believe this spells should be 7 seconds as well. As for the magic, I would say not to use magic much on players curently..its pretty unfair because the fighting system is being worked on and not balanced with the magic system yet, making mages last a lot of hits compared to before.

You still don't understand the concept of mages being damn powerfull and dangerous, and that you should not mess with a mage when you have no friends with you!

7 seconds? doubtful, i use both the spells alot of the time. 3-4 seconds at most if your fairly quick with your casting.

PAtric, 2 seconds per spell is too fast mate. That is 4 seconds to kill one character. The double axe swings at about 6 seconds at a time. With the new fighting system it would take at least 4 hits to kill Samantha with a skilled warrior. We have 2 people, we lose, we have 3 people we still lose. Mages are too powerful mate.

Not even 4 seconds, if she casts first the first 2 seconds dont count, making it 2-3 seconds, it isnt balanced right now Nitram even said he would have to weaken magic if fighting staysas weak as it is, there is nothing to argue about, just wait until its finished and try not using magic too much.

Garret, every time Samantha gets hit a spell she tries to cast will stop. That means a mage is fucked when in melee, especially when more than one enemy is on her butt.

Also, Samantha is one of the most powerful player basedmages, she is called Archmistress. Don't moan when she wipes the floor with your stupid warrior who doesn't know when to shut the better up.

Don't mess with the badass holding the flamerthrower, pal

I am really annoyed by all this "o god! the powerfull mage pwnes my warrior standing a few metres away! Magic is overpowered, let us weaken it again so that a mage can just beat a damn pig!"

A mage dosent lose its spell if the spells is faster than the weapon

Attack her instead with a doubleaxe using a single handed sword? or a dagger? she wont be able casting anymore.

swords at fastest take 4 seconds patric.
daggers are at around 3, maybe even 4, i havent checked.

There were no warnings for Gort to leave. Samantha just asked him to leave her alone so Gort directed his attention elsewhere. Gort did not accually threaten anyone's life. As I said you didn't need to pk me. I had aboslutely no time to do anything rp related while being attacked.

when the balance is perfected a mages spells power will be lowered somewhat, but only relativily to however strong the fighting system becomes, of course there will still be spells that do that amount of damage to other players. but those will be the bigger ones of course.

however people arent going to change there rp via systems in most cases. so for the moment mages are more powerful, but don't punish every mage player with pking topics like this. aside form them being useless (pm's to Dev's can work) but they can end up causing hasty decisions that make further problems. that said. the topic has reached it use end. ranting topics can be placed in off topic, if you want to spite eachother.

I don't wish to spite anyone. I just would wish people that can pk wouldent just because they dont't like the po or the char. Pking should be the last thing you do in a rp situation.

@PO Samantha
Yes, you can rp magic. I have seen quite a few players do it.

Logs can be faked. So don't post them. ~ Markous.

Samantha often avoids killing others,. Just ask Retlak and Galthran who were standing infront of trollsbane, she had the possibility to kill them, but hasn't. But she can't be every time so damn friendly when a criminal and/or temple member pushes his luck. Than there are also times he has to feel. thats nothing strange in the view of roleplay. Gort had many, many chances, also often before. Chances where he ran around and pushed his luck, or whatever. So don't cry when there are also moments he loses.

in the view of rp i, and many others, should kill every temple members on sight. so you are still very lucky with how it is now.

Shal we count how many times those bandits from Galthran and the temple members killed oither chars? shall i remember you how you ran together with Ku'Agor through trollsbane and attacked and killed dwarfes without #mes or rp? even tried to rekill dwarves?

So better be quiet and don't point on others.

enough already. keep your personal arguements off the forums thanks. this topic should have never been opened.

This is why I don't play with patric.

I've been killed by all of his characters besides the elfess atleast once. I think by Samantha 3 or 4 times.

Ku, a po of a fighter must be ready to let his char die. And if you mess with an archmage...

Or do you want to play only with those, who you can slain?

It's not that Thariel, I just don't preticulary like those that rise from the cross and attack immediatly. Infact I do not think she was even out of the cross.

Translation:

Blablehblabla mages too strong blehblehbleh cant pwn anyone blehblabla bla.

Garett: Blablehblabla mages overpowered, cant rp big guy with all my fighter friends anymore blablehbla have to bitch bout the system on all ocassions arising blablehbla.

lol you didnt read it did you thurbert?

next time read a post before you post anything against it.

I could easily post complaints about your constant whining OOC of IC matters, but well, that would be sinking to your level wouldn't it?

I clearly read your post, and the several others before all crying for balance of mage spells.

As for the whining: Bring em' on. Complain about me, make it as elaborate as you want to, I don't think anyone will give a damn.

I don't know why you repeatedly try to single me out in any post Thurbert and frankly it gets pretty old pretty fast. If you feel, regardless of what topic it is, that you must provide a counter arguement of myself to satisfy whatever sick rivalry you think is between us go for it. I simply supplied numbers that are facts to the fighting system and told Gort he plays a bad guy whereas patric plays a good guy. I do not understand why you feel you would need to single me out to argue over that.

It takes about 5 seconds to swing a mace or sword... 6 seconds for a two handed weapon..

each hit does not do much damage since the endurence fights, which is good.

however, now we have a case of mages being able to cast every 3 seconds and do around 5000 points of damage.

Seems we need alot of balancing done, to make the game fun for everyone in these events.

Edit: NO actually, mages are meant to be powerful, i change my mind, get 5 temple members on her ass next time before running in alone Gort!

I suggest to send PMs to each other if you want to continue argueing.
