I've always wondered, (and I'm sorry if this' written elsewhere, I can't find it) what are the depots supposed to be? I've seen a variety "#me opens his/her depot", "#me opens the depot". Is it a magical box? Is it a normal chest that everyone shares? Or is it just an ingame feature that shouldn't have questions like this ever asked about it? I am talking about the roleplaying side of it, not the technical. I always think what to #me when there's five people crowded around a depot.

This isn't a complaint at all.

There are different kinds of depots.
Some could be used by everyone, the small golden ones are for keeping your stuff and only you can get them out of it.

What other depots are there?

Basicly it is just accepted by all players that the depot everyone runs to must be some sort of mass locker collection on the wall.

They're just chests though arnt they? I know about the different types of storage, like I said, it's the roleplaying side I was curious about, not the technical.

for me, i roleplay it like little lockers as Retlak said that you have a personal key for, and it is magical allowing it to tranfer to other places ^^

I RP that is is magical, and dependant of who looks into it sees what.

I just rp it being some fat halfling that you slap and it runs to wherever you wish to go to use the depot again..

Personally i see it as everyone having their own locker space thingy.

I can look into my own depot, and sometimes i RP peeking into someone elses or something...

Yes. I like to use them during selling/trading. If both of you stand at the chest and transfer your goods using it, no other random players can steal your items off the ground.
